Wife came back with car loaded with groceries. She looked at me and said. You know a lot of men go shopping. PUSSIES I said as she walked away shaking her head.

I’ll respond to this, as soon as the missus and I get back from the grocery store😆

I have to say, as much as I enjoy spending time with my wife, shopping is not usually one I enjoy. Even in today's COVID scare my wife cannot go int a store and just get what we went there for. We go for milk, and spend half an hour wandering the aisles just looking. Admittedly we usually go home with more than just what brought us out bu still.. When I go into a store, for the most part I get what I want and leave. The obvious exception is a gun store or hardware store.. But that's different

My brother-in-law said I could build a cart at ALDIs grocery store and he'd pay to have it delivered. I put in eleven things, got five. You can't even smoke without matches or lighters.

I'm of a contrary opinion. See, I love food. Why would I want someone else dictating what I eat, and cooking it the way they want? I rather insist on picking out what I want, and cooking it to my own specs. I'm a damn good cook, and hell if I'm gonna rely on someone else, even my wife, to make my food decisions for me. She does some of the baking, but I do all the grocery shopping and cooking (some of the baking too, because I make a seriously mean pie). Because, again, I insist on it.

If you cook half as well as you make pipes. We will all be over for dinner!

I do 90% of our grocery shopping. Most of it requires, or required, before Corona, a 45 minute drive each way. I reward myself with two or three choice beers and a meal. It all works out.

I do 98% of it too, so I must be a wuss. Gets me out of the house, not as much now a days. And I buy better stuff! Now with the virus, she hates going out of the house in the car. Sad days.

My wife doesn't like for me to do the shopping, because I stick strictly to the list she gives me. She says "that's just supposed to be a guide."

Pussies??? Hardly!...my wife shops with her taste buds and her eyes. I shop with the store ad, and my coupons and e-coupons. It's a bad move for me to let that gal do the marketing, but I spent a lifetime in the retail food business ,and she didn't. The savings when I go is enough to keep her at home!

Living alone, I do my own grocery shopping. It is not as fun as it used to be. People have become unfriendly, downright rude in some cases. It seems they want to get in and out as fast as possible and slam a bang their way through the store. This being Taos, others go over to the beer selection and pull out a can and push their cart around sipping their brew. They are the friendlier ones.

It was said tongue in cheek, mostly to piss my wife off. You guys who do the shopping, much admiration for youse! I don't have the patience, now if it was a hardware or gun shop, I'd spend all day. Again it was said in jest.

Again it was said in jest. it is not so bad. Gun stores. You can forget about them here. In Taos, if you au are not a pal of the clerk you can forget about seeing anything. No "Lookie-Loos". No tinkering. Just buying, if one is fortunate enough to have anyone pay attention to you. This gun-buying frenzy has ruined the business. I do not even bother anymore.

My wife does the shopping. I dont shop. Im more of a hunter/ gatherer. I know what I went to the store for, so I track it down, bag it and leave.
If I got to pick up some stuff for Shweetie while Im out, she gives me a detailed list. Otherwise, she aint gonna get it.

My wife goes shopping. I go buying. I walk into the store, I get what I came for and I get the hell out.
I do all the cooking, so I do most of the shopping, all of it since the Corolla Virus. The best thing that has happened to my budget is the fact that she doesn't go to Wal-Mart to get a gallon of milk and come home with $200 worth of unnecessary crap now.

To be clear, I don't SHOP either; I hit the door with a detailed list, and a plan to be in and out like a flash...each item on the list is marked either A, for ad, C for coupon, or E for e-coupon...a little homework cuts my bill by almost half every time, and if I can stay clear of old friends, I can get out and back home before the wife could even find her shoes...
You guys who can send the wife to the market are lucky, I'm just better at it than my better half is.

I do 90% of the shopping and cooking since I retired, and almost as much before. I shop because sometimes I see something I didn't know that I wanted to cook.

I'm single, and also like to kill it and drag it back to the cave as quickly as possible. The 'shopping' is done online before I leave the house, so I know which aisle each item is on and it's exact price and have a list. Then the goal is to get the hell in and out of the grocery store as fast as I possibly can. People that mosey down the center of the aisle and stop to compare tomato sauces drive me nuts.

I shop for what I am cooking, otherwise I don’t really care to go shopping, but I placate the wife by going along when I am home. She likes company when she shops.
Any other retailer, I like to get in and out, hardware and gun stores included.

My wife and I divide it up..I get what I want. She gets the stuff she wants, and stuff for the house..A side note..I'm one who has to restrict my sugar intake..I don't have diabetes, but if I'm not careful I could have.I'm constantly putting things back on the shelves because of the sugar content.. Diabetes is a major problem in this country yet so many things have a high sugar content. It makes shopping really frustrating for folks like me.

I used to make a Sam's run about once a week. I know where everything is that I buy, so I would go before 9:00. The premium membership was worth every penny. Now they don't have the early morning hours and open the store to everyone at 9:00. I don't go there near as often. There is nothing worse than trying to dodge the "shoppers" that are walking three abreast and look at shite as if they are amazed that a store has stuff in it.

What bugs me are the people in Sam's that are "phone walking", zombies 🧟♂️ that can't get out of their own way.
