If you wanted to play games you could have gone with the Dell Precision M2800. Upgrading it to 8gb and a 240gb SSD would have brought the price to 659, but it would cheaper than upgrading the one you got.

The integrated graphics will be the bottleneck on his machine. He can still play games, just older ones. Far Cry 1 doesn't suck because Call of Duty 47 exists

In all honesty guys- gaming is something I probably dont have time for and by the time I do I'll probably be able to afford a new rig. I appreciate all the advice as usual.

You made the IT guys all happy asking for advice though. I'm glad Ron had a place to get a laptop that satifies your needs, and we agree, the Elitebook you got will be just fine, and really cheap for $375.
PS You can still play games though! Just older ones. They're also cheap!
