Olivia de Havilland passed away today at age 104. The last of the Golden Era.

She was quite an actress. I loved her movies.

Glad to be of service! 😁 I'm hiding in my backyard with my grill and cooler - if 'they' can't get a cellphone photo of me, and don't know my name, I'll probably be okay when the neighborhood vigilante groups begin to form. Luckily I also adhered to the rule of 'bullets and toilet paper' for pandemic preparation.

I always questioned the Idahoans, but that lifestyle is starting to make sense. I told my girlfriend that given the planned police defunding in our area, and the fact that we already live outside the Tacoma area of 'police interest';i.e.-they don't respond to anything less than shootings - the folks on the south end of town will be making even more frequent trips up here in the near future. So sure enough, last night I caught a couple of crack heads emptying their meth lab trash in our driveway. It's happened before, so I know what I'm looking at. I avoided the temptation to grab the .357 and instead just busted a pint glass off the back of their truck. Tomorrow I'm planting large rocks in the driveway and we'll just start parking curbside.
That's where we are at. Get used to it.

I know what you mean, although it's not as advanced in Texas. This is why we moved from the Houston area to a small town in NE Texas near the Arkansas-Louisiana border. Had a community meeting with the DA, Police and Sheriff Saturday morning and they were promising not to slack off. Not likely that Antifa will come here. Less likely that they would leave.

Well, I'm a retired IT guy from Texas, so we actually have a little in common. I was born in Port Arthur, so by birth I am guilty and must be punished . My coonhound is having surgery in three weeks and it will be a 3-4 week recovery. As soon as we are out of the woods with that, I'm taking a pop-up trailer out to a piece of land near Alpine, where we'll ride this out. Pandemic behavior has caused me to lose what little respect I had for human beings, especially Americans, and at my age the only alternative is to avoid them. But it's not a negative - it really should be a lot of fun, as I love that part of the country.

My uncle used to own a Jaz club there in the 50s. Alpine the Washington ghost town? At first I thought you meant Alpine Texas, but that's a long way for a camping trip!

Janis and I were actually born in the same hospital.
I'm referring to Alpine, Texas. My son bought land out there and is planning on building an earth house. I will probably meet him there and we'll spend a few weeks working on it.
