I am curious. I see different levels of members. Pro, full, etc.
How does one attain these status?
Is there a membership fee or something?

there's gremlins & mogwois somewhere deep in the "bowels" of computers, no matter what operating system folks use. We only unnerstand low-tech. OS - WIN7, browser IE. Both still work for what we do.
Justin/"Sparks" is the true guru for this place. He was the founder ? number of years ago...now. Sure he can xplain it all in techie words, very few, if any could I handle but best I can do is "number of total posts" no matter in one thread or many

I believe in past discussions that it is post count and the amount of time one has been a member here.

It's an algorithm that takes into account posts, number of pipes owned, distance between your home and any other location determined by the forum, whether the moon is full on a Thursday, and how often you use tobasco on your eggs. Oh, and whether aliens wear purple hats.

<100 posts = New Member
100-499 = Junior Member
500 - 999 = Full Member
1000 - ? = Senior Member
? = Pro Member

Post-count doesnāt mean much to me. The important thing is liking the forum, and maybe even (most) of the folks there. It does appear though that nobody knows what the break points are. Or, if they do, they aināt tellinā.  |
