42F and clear before daybreak. Heading for mid 60s and sunny this afternoon. A little cold snap expected this weekend and perhaps even some overnight flurries. Starting off the day with 2011 Mac Baren Va #1 in a smooth 1/4 bent one star 2006 Mark Tinsky straight grained Rhodesian, drinking Trader Joe's coffee with a little dark chocolate on the side, catching up on the week's market news with NPR playing on the radio in the background, sleepy cattle dog on his bed beside me.

Now smoking HU Red Fox in a medium bend 1983 Ascorti New Dear KS with a black acrylic stem. Just fed Suzy, who's now sitting on the window sill chattering at the birds and squirrels. I did put down food for Molly, but she just stood there looking at it, and Suzy the feline eating machine ended up eating her portion, while Molly stood there looking unconcerned. Oh well.... she has plenty of dry food.

Went lunting down town through the concrete jungle , dropped in a couple of churches & Albany by Turmeaus, one of the best tobacconists in the UK in their new premises, treated myself to some pipe tobacco & a plain big cigar & a miniature bottle of Scallywag Scotch whisky a fine collection of spirits, they never had a pipe to my taste on my budget. Had a look around their superior quality Humidor , a great collection of cigars , with the UK good trade deal with Cuban & South American suppliers. Smoking my first bowl of Petersons Sherlock Holmes, (I tend to agree with PCplod's tobbaccoreviews.com opinion), sweet & subtle, a very pleasant agreeable smoke, in a Parker quarter bent Billiard a appropriate pipe a classic, got a train home & had a half of wheat lager in a new local bar. Fed us & water on the table. Been listening to Seneca "The Shortness of Life" on audio books. PS. As well as Peterson Sherlock Holmes. HH bold Kentucky. An exquisite tin note. Kendal Twist. Rattray's Wallace Flake, thanks to Don's suggestion.. Tin of Barkley's Ginger mints.

Rattray's Wallace flake, 10g. weighed from the Albany shop jar, the flakes were a bit crumbly but that was due to the handling in a shop packed pouch, rolled & stuffed some into my favourite 2016 Xmas Rhodesian customer gift, smokes well a nice smoke, it would mix well with some pinches of spicy plugs, I agree with gladi08ter96 opinion on tobacco reviews.com, but a tasty flake to add to the cellar, so many flakes to choose from at the same price. The same Scallywag Scotch whisky nightcap on the table & water. CBC R1 Toronto on Pure Internet radio.
