My oldest is 54,then twins boy and girl, 52,for a while they were a handful, oldest hated them grandparents turned their affection away from him to twins, had to watch him, he put both in dryer and turned it on. We heard bump, bump, bump, opened dryer door and they tumbled out. Then suddenly he changed, was a protective little brother, till he filled the snapper push mower well with gas and his little brother was lapping up the gas. Tongue swoll a bit otherwise all ok. Told wife I’m gonna have the toughest kids in Louisiana.!

My oldest is 29, my youngest is 19, and there are 7 of them. 7 kids in 10 years. There is a set of twin girls in there, that rounded things out in a hurry. I tell ya, things were a bit expensive, crowded and noisy in our house for a few years.
Maybe that's why Im so protective of my peace and solitude now 😁

You're getting old when.....
When you go on dating sites, and quickly find out the old biddies are more concerned about whether you are a good fit for their animals or loser kids than you are with them.
I have two older bachelor neighbors that have experienced that.

Hurt my back somewhat jumping out of flying machines, then slipped down an enclosed ladder at Exxon plant, fell about 15 feet, grabbed the enclosure and had a wicked jarring stop. Back pain stopped, wouldn’t recommend this kind of therapy, lower back still iffy but not like before ladder therapy.

Fell off the roof, wrecked the motorcycle, that kind of thing. The more I walk on them the better they work. I get used to the hurt.

Aches pains, throbbing knees and leg bones. Worse than that is mental confusion and getting lost in the middle of things. I cannot handle too much complexity any more.

I have had two back surgeries. Both for disk extrusion (this is when the gel actually slips out of the disc), and sequestration (this is where the gel is no longer attached to the disc). That's basically herniated disc 2.0. No Bueno.
Most of my back issues were brought on from doing concrete work for a large portion of my life. I wish I had some more interesting reason related to a misspent youth or such, but that's the best I got. Some days are good, some days are bad. Generally, a steady supply of Advil will keep me on my feet and trucking along.

Now the check's due.

Carefull with that. NSAIDS ruined my kidneys. Kidneys and liver scares me with the NSAIDS. I was taking it for the pain from taking statins. Max dose for about 8 years. One kidney removed, the other is only functioning at half efficiency.

Celebrex and the newer anti inflammatory medicines are much better now the days of ulcers from naproxen are in the rear view mirror. The thing is you have to ask for the good stuff and stay away from all OTC pain meds.

I can take acetaminophen, aspirin, and opioids.
