I fully appreciate the work that healthcare workers do, and they have had a difficult year.
But we are all in this together.
The last year, I stayed in more hotel beds than I did my own... I am thankful for the housekeeping workers and the hotels that committed to “upping” their commitment to sanitizing the rooms while potentially dealing with potential exposure in every room.
I left a lot of tips, because with a lot of vacancies the hours were cut for people that don’t make much in the good times.
I won’t miss the 14 hour workdays, thousands of miles each week, and foraging for a meal every night, but I was fortunate to have elevated income for the last year because of the pandemic.
Dodged the ‘Rona, but it killed some of our techs.
