I like ‘em, being one of those who prefer to clean a pipe right after smoking it. My $600 may buy a couple more Petersens of that persuasion, since I now have only one. Anyone else in favor of such designs?

I like the military mount, it has a more robust connection than the typical pipe, and due to the tapered fit, less chance of ever having a sloppy connection. The Petrson system standard pipe would not be what it is withought that mount.

Army mount Bing... that would be a challenge with the thin shank I suspect.

Army mount Bing... that would be a challenge with the thin shank I suspect. maybe not. The army mount prince I made for theloniousmonkfish has a pretty thin shank. Not pencil shank, but 1/2". I bet 7/16 or MAYBE 3/8 could be done. I might give it a go just to see. |
