Yeah John, I had heard of Erik in the past, he seems to fly under the radar domestically and I can see why. If he can go to Asia and ring the cash register, he would be a fool not to do so. On an unrelated note, Tonni Neilson recently responded to an enquiry by me, and a couple of my pipes were made by him at WO Larsen. thebriarpatchforum.com/thread/1242/sons

First time trying Mac Baren Symphony in a Savinelli Bing. I'm sipping it slowly, so it doesn't bite. So far, it's just okay. Will need to smoke a few more bowls to decide whether to get more of this blend. Good moisture level right out of the tin, which is dated Sept 2017.

Many refer to MacBaren as McBite, you are smart to sip slowly, but if you like the blend some age will help. 3 or 4 more years won’t hurt it any.

I'll give it a go and if it grows on me, I'll have to add some to a tobacco order. 2nd half of the bowl seems to be tastier and richer. Just what I need is another blend to stockpile.

H&H Magnum Opus In my Danish made Stanwell Diplomat 63. This is one of my longest owned pipes that I still smoke. It’s also my first Stanwell. I bought it new sometime in the early 90s.

CH in a spanking new Comoy's Pebble Grain prince. I've got one of those in a box somewhere around here. It's a great smoking pipe. I got mine for $24 bucks (it fell off the back of a truck)

Crooner in a MM Great Dane Spindle. I can't smoke this every day, but deertongue is interesting. I only smoke this in a couple pipes that I use for Burley-forward tobaccos. Leaves a little ghost, but it's a friendly one.

Just had my first bowl of STG Balkan Sasieni. After smoking full-bodied cigars, most pipe tobacco has seemed pretty mild, but this one had some excellent flavors. Burned very slowly too.

After work smoke of Match Victorian in a Brigham System Rusticated Rhodesian. Nice enough looking pipe, with a wire brushed sort of finish. Doesn't pass a pipe cleaner with or without that dowel filter, grrr.
