I'm smoking some Newminster #403 Superior Round Slices in the same Savinelli rusticated Zulu. My son's grilling pork tenderloins in a carne asada marinade of some sort. Grilling broccoli and carrot slices, as well. I should check again if he needs a hand, he said no when I asked, plus its cold outside. After dinner cigar, maybe? Maybe some HH Navy Flake? Both? Hope you're all having a pleasant evening.

Got an estate Fader LB in the mail today as well as five 1 oz samplers from LJ Peretti. Tried out the Scottish blend Pride of Loch Lamond. I visited Loch Lomond in October 2019 and couldn't resist. Fader was a tobacconist in Baltimore and had house brand pipes made by Shalom Pipes in Israel. Seemed like a pretty good smoker for a cheap pipe. I enjoy getting some background on various pipe makers on Pipedia. I need to dry the POLL a bit, as I had to relight it several times. Good smoke though.

Just about finished smoking a bowl of HH Navy Flake in my Italian no-name basket billiard. Not all the tobacco fit in the bowl, so I can have a 2nd helping. Cigar will have to wait until tomorrow or, more likely, the weekend. Is it Friday yet?

Walks done earlier, no-band 5x50 for company, a few dog walkers out & around the park , stopped to have a little fun with a 110 lb Newfie "puppie", owner said it should top out at 175 but should calm down some. After the Ed is fed, more Pease Abingdon in Castello "Castello" bent Dublin & continue with the papers. More snow work later.

Smoking MB Symphony in a Savinelli Bing's Favorite. Still unsure about this blend. I jarred up about 3/4 of the 100g tin. Will check on it in a while. Going through tobacco order that just arrived. Will be sampling from a few of those later. And do some jarring.

Seems like whenever I see Radices in stock somewhere, it's their more adventurous shapes. Wrong place, wrong time, I guess. |
