Beautiful, windy day today with temperature up to the mid 40s. Lost power twice this morning because of the wind. Thought about golfing today but opted to stay inside where it’s warm.

Took a hard fall on the ice on my way out to the livestock water tank.
Wrenched my already FU knee which is now swollen up.
Pharmaceutical Ibuprofen and a nap helped.
I will have to put Ice Creepers on my slippers when I go out to the tank.

Bought some bourbon for my brother. We have a holiday tradition where he buys me bourbon and I buy him bourbon and it is the same brand and sized bottle and we don't even exchange anything except maybe text a thank you.

I told my brothers last July I was going to stop trying to remember to text them happy birthday on the actual days, and just do it when I think of it, because I always think of it, just a week or a month ahead of time. Then I wished them both happy 2021 birthdays. |

I listen a fair bit to jazz records that were recorded before stereo came along, but I don't have physical media for them. Or not many of them, anyway. I use Qobuz. |

On a more positive note: our fourth grand baby arrived yesterday at 2:27 PM. Lucille James entered the world with loud acclaim according to our son. All is well thus far and hopefully we will hold her in a day or two. Life is good. Congratulations! |

Man, ain't that the truth. I've had bruised ribs twice, and cracked ribs once. Bruised didn't hurt any less than cracked, and didn't take any less time to heal. Sending good vibes your way, toshtego. When you need to sneeze, just let it go. There's no way to do it that doesn't hurt like the devil. But I suspect you've had bruised ribs before. |

My kidney disease is in the early stages of coming out of remission. Ikky feeling and Swelling so bad that I become more or less bed ridden.
On the bright side. And yes there is a bright side! 🙃.
I have more time to snuggle with my cat. I have more time to snuggle and read to my daughter. I have more time to snuggle with my wife. Getting to work from bed is a distant, but none the less added bonus.
Side note: we get dealt the cards that are dealt. Go fish!

They've just panned half the instruments all the way to the left, and the other instruments all the way to the right. There's nothing between the speakers. I'll take mono over that every day of the week. Have you ever heard it done well? |
