My kidney disease is in the early stages of coming out of remission. Ikky feeling and Swelling so bad that I become more or less bed ridden. On the bright side. And yes there is a bright side! 🙃. I have more time to snuggle with my cat. I have more time to snuggle and read to my daughter. I have more time to snuggle with my wife. Getting to work from bed is a distant, but none the less added bonus. Side note: we get dealt the cards that are dealt. Go fish! Hate to hear that. Is it something that could go back into remission again?

My creatinine was down to 1.4. That's the lowest it's been in years, even when I had 2 kidneys.

I have some Robert Johnson and T-bone Walker LPs that might not be remastered to stereo, but I wouldn't bet on it. My Original Cast Recording of South Pacific and The HMS Pinafore are missing in action. I'm not a fan of remastered "stereo." What I've heard of it, it isn't really stereo. They've just panned half the instruments all the way to the left, and the other instruments all the way to the right. There's nothing between the speakers. I'll take mono over that every day of the week. Have you ever heard it done well? Nope. But some music you just have to take what you can get.

All 33000 hours of my music is on computer and can be manipulated to my liking or pushed to a stereo via TOS optical. I prefer FLAC files but that gobbles up a ton of hard drive space so most is just mp3 or mp4. 1 GIG is one album this way. I stay away from laptops and ipad to reproduce music, It is best done with a full blown desktop with a nice mother board. Ron is right sometimes you have to take music as it comes or how you find it. I have no desire to go back to a room full of CD'S, Tapes and records or stacks of silver faced obsolete stereo equipment. all strung together with RCA cables. YMMV!

Well, dang. Today is the day I will wend my ways into town for a few supplies. Shouldn’t complain since it’s been 43 days since I had to do it. If I were willing to go w/o a few items I could easily do another coupla weeks. But I will go. Then later in the day Eli goes to vet for his first snake vaccine. I’ve made great progress in doing away with the rattler population but I don’t like taking chances with my boys. Spotted a coupla bull snakes last summer and they have helped apparently. A busy day by my standards.

The tree guy is here clearing a path for the new septic tank, the plumber is on his way to unclog the drain and give me an estimate on repiping the house. Busy day for me. Not much physical labor but a lot of anxiety.

I just don't have the patience to rip 650 LPs and CDs to disk. I could burn them to DVD or a hard drive, but as soon as I was done the drive would crash anyway. I could probably pick up a used 6 TB array from the old company, but it's noisy and uses a lot of electricity.

Starting the day in a world of hurt.
Hard to get up from a seated position. Took tylenol and a 5mg pain pill.
Last night, a 10 mg pain pill. Still could not sleep.
I can get through this but the next days will not be much fun.

Sure sorry to hear that, John. I hope Marbles is commiserating appropriately. You sure you don’t need a x-ray or two?

Busy day by present standards. Got a haircut. Drove 30 miles to a county that is ignoring the governors COVID mandates and sat down in a restaurant for a meal. Did a little shopping at the Walmart - and at a liquor store. Got my wife's 2nd Shingles vaccine.
Nice weather for winter. In the mid 40's.

Just regular pain killer today. Which is good. Was able to eat a bit of Taco Bell figured a beef burrito would be easy to try to eat. It’s just hard to chew when trying to chew on one side of your mouth. Feeling allot better.

Beautiful sunny day here. Took mom out for our weekly lunch date and treated myself to a bowl of Scottish Blend.

Huge storm cam through yesterday morning early, uprooted a giant spruce tree in the back yard and dropped it across the power line running from the transformer to the house. Ripped the meter base, breaker box and all plumb off the house. So, no power for several days. I sent Shweetie to town to stay, as we have no power, no heat, no water, no cooking, no laundry... you get the idea. I’m camping out in the horse trailer (living quarters) minding the contractor, horses, chickens, and dogs.
The tree fell right down the driveway in between two outbuildings and just missing my truck. So, all-in-all, an inconvenience but no disaster. The electrical on this old house was a nightmare anyhow and needed replaced. So now my tight-fisted landlord has no choice 😁.
The boys just about have the tree all cut and cleaned up, so I even get firewood out of the deal.
Gotta stay positive in these crazy times...

A lot of that comes down to RAID type and usage patterns, though.

Metal. 9 years old. 😉 We got the house cheap enough to be able to do a lot of work and still be in good shape. So far, we've only spent about a thousand out of pocket. We are looking at a total of 15k to fix everything, which will put us at 120k for a 2600 sq ft house that we really like. We have spent about 20k on improvements, and expect to spend 15k more. Weare satisfied. It's a great old house.

Dealt with two plumbers and the tree crew today. Climbed a 12 foot ladder a dozen times and trimmed some limbs that the tree crew didn't want to do for some reason. Walked down the hill behind my property and found an enchanted glade with a stream running through it. I might try to buy it if I ever find out who owns it.

I thought I had already posted this but apparently I did sumpin wrong. Anyway... glad the day is done as it was busy and I tend to not like “those.” Supply run went like clockwork. Later I took Eli over the local vet and he got his first Redrock snake vaccine shot. Second, the clincher, in a month. I’ve kept all my doggos on this for years. Good stuff and it works. Then I dropped in on my local gun dealer since I hadn’t been in to chew the fat for quite a while. Big mistake. No intent to buy so much as a small bottle of gun-oil but walked out with a Sig Sauer P365-X. Dang. Be cheaper to hire a minder to keep me out of such dens of iniquity and temptation.

Worked all day then snuck in a nap around 3 ish. Headed out for my evening walk around 4:30, and then cooked up some dinner. I have to work on this wine rack project down in the basement, but I keep procrastinating. I guess it will be a weekend project at this point.

A thing I learned today:
Four ounce jars are darn near useless, even for storing 1-oz. samples.
