People here are used to shooting elk from their back porches. They will fire across their neighbors property and at their home. No discretion whatsoever. Get one of your friends with a backhoe... dig a nice deep hole in the ground...fill it with the arrogant "hunters", back fill and now no more arse**les on your property. if you bury them with their arseholes sticking out of the ground, at least you'll have somewhere to park your bike. 😁

I had the rapid test done last night, negative for covid… as I knew.
We bought Doobie Brothers concert tickets about 2 years ago before the pandemic cancelled it twice. Now you need to accept the Fauci ouchie or have a negative test result within 72 hours.
I guess this will be the last concert I attend if this is the new way forward.

In Nebraska there is no need to post your property. Trespassing is defined as being on someone's property without their specific permission, whether or not it is posted. Trespassing is an arrestible, prison-and-fine offense here. If the property IS posted a trespasser is a "defiant trespasser" and the penalties get pretty severe. The law is less favorable to land owners here. Posting must be done at specific intervals. Signs must contain contact information. The presumption is that a Hunter as access to all property to follow a blood trail. This has become an implied license to enter anyone's property to seek game and shoot it there. The Sheriff, the one who makes such a big noise about "property rights' and individual rights, refuses to respond to complaints about trespassing hunters. He insists it is a Game Warden issue. You can imagine how many Wardens we have for the state of NM. Wealthy local land owners with large ranches employ their own "Rangers", armed men patrolling their property lines in search of poachers. They also have the support of the Sheriff, District Attorney and local Judges. The lesser mortals, such as I, well, we do what we can, eh?

went to my youngest daughter's house this morning, having heard my Son In Law say he wanted to start smoking his pipe again. Took a 'little' care package to him, in order to encourage him ;-)
Nice quiet day since getting home, hope you all enjoy your weekends.

I feel funny about posting our home No Trespassing and No Dumping but I have to. We live on the Mississippi River here in the middle of LaX and people think the city’s drainage easement is a yard waste disposal site and my shoreline is a park. I had to chase off a f-tard and his spawn who thought it was just fine to fish off my dock last week. Could have called the PoPo but they’re pretty much worthless so I nicely explained that this is not a park and I have it posted so I don’t get sued if they get hurt. I asked him what he was thinking when he walking past the signs and how’d you like me to walk thought your yard? He “played” blind and dumb. I snapped his photo and sent them packing.

Cool and wet day here. Decided it would be a good time to clean and organize the workshop, as my wife was cleaning/organizing basement pantry/storage room. Found about 3 cases of Mason jars, she asked if I could use them. In addition to the couple cases of new jars I already had, I have enough jars for the tobacco cellar for the next 6 months of purchases.

I think that I said it elsewhere recently, but if you save the cardboard flats that the Mason jars come in, it simplifies storage when stacking. I go so far as just opening the plastic on the top just enough to fish out all of the jars, and it helps keep the box stronger when the box is filled with the jars, label the contents with dates and you are good to go.

Good. I had to look it up. what do they call it in USA? Do they not do testing where you are? Man, a hundred years ago, when I was a biology grad student, PCR was the very latest, cutting edge tool for molecular biologists. Massively sped up the processing of DNA for experiments. The machines were hard to get. The lab next to ours had one. Thing cost them a fortune. We had to take a number and get in line to use it. Now every little storefront testing lab in the country has one.

Made a marinara/puttanesca sauce, its' simmering on the stove. After this quick break, making meatballs. Some will go directly in the sauce, some in the oven. Then, it's time for garlic bread and the pasta.

Best news I've heard all day. Yay! for Andre...glad to hear you came back negative...Covid is nothing to sneeze at. No, but it's something that can deliver a cough! I sneeze year round from a variety of allergies, man...you sneeze now people crap their pants because many are too ignorant to know the difference. Like the old man said: "I used to cough to cover up a fart, now I fart to cover up a cough."

The high, Patridge front sight helps the ID. And I think there may be also an adjustable rear sight. Hard to tell, though. Similaer to these, John…

Getting Christmas shopping done early this year - on Amazon. Ordered stuff today. Plan to go out to the stores tomorrow. We just give mostly cash or gift cards to our family, but we buy presents for my 2 year old grandson. He needs to enjoy opening presents on Christmas day.
Need to find him a Red Rider BB Gun. I'll hang it on the wall in a little gun rack until he's old enough.
