Yeah, or the emails you get after you put a few things in your cart, then decide not to get anything. "Looks like you forgot something in your cart! Better hurry and buy it!" Should be the start of a negotiation. So far I have not had much luck. Yep, them are silly.

Extenuating circumstances... A strange fall so far. My trees are still almost fully leaved. Normally we get a combined event: a cold snap, rain, and winds that causes our trees to lose their leaves, almost overnight. That event is well overdue. By this time we are usually looking at a winter landscape. But it hasn't happened yet. Last night we had the rain and cold, but not the wind— although it was forecast. It will come of course, but right now it is running late. I'm not complaining, just observing.

Cold front is here, 66 degrees and partly sunny. We went to vote today on several state constitutional amendments, all insuring more freedom and protection from the government.

Bad weather was not bad, thank the Lord, rain hard for a while, winds weren’t so bad. Temps dropping.

Rainy here, as well, but no temp drop yet. That happens tomorrow (10 degrees) and Friday (another 10 degrees), apparently.

Monday/ Tuesday I covered 800 miles taking care of patients, across southern Arizona...One stop in Tucson, then to Benson, Tombstone, Sierra Vista, Herford, Douglas, Pearce, Willcox, and Morenci.
Had today off doing domestic duties with the wife.
I head out to Yuma tomorrow, I should get done early to see the Thursday night game at the Radisson...hoping that the Arizona Cardinals with a 6-0 record turns it into a 7-0 record against Green Bay.
Corporate said that they are impressed with our service, as long as we continue to wear masks, and follow the safety protocols, they are not mandating that we get the Fauci experimental vaccine. If that changes and we are forced by federal OSHA mandate, I will have to find an employer with under 100 employees, and talking to my peers, many will join me. That will not bode well for the patients, or my employer that is engaged in sustaining peoples lives.

Like everyone else, it’s racing hard here! Think it’ll be a good idea to stay inside today.

It's been rainy here most of the time the last week or so. Today is no different. At least the farmers have their crops in so that's not a problem.
Starting to see even more bare shelves at the grocery stores. Picked up a couple bags of driveway/sidewalk salt for the winter. It's hard to find during the winter sometimes in normal times. So I usually stock up. Figured this year it might be even harder to find.
Starting to be able to order reloading powder here and there, and even found small pistol primers! I've been cleaning guns all week. Once I get them all cleaned/serviced, I'll get back to reloading.
I bought a cheap bore scope that attaches to my smart phone awhile back. Found out that my rifle barrels were not as clean as I thought! Some took several hours to get the bore thoroughly cleaned - and I could tell it at the range. Accuracy was much improved with a couple of them - and now they clean up much faster/easier.

Noticed two of my goats were grazing in my neighbor's oats. I called to them from the road and they walked through the fence. Upon investigation appears someone cut the wires. So, I spliced them together and hung yet another "No Hunting" sign. Not that it will do much good.

A comfortable 90° here in Yuma at sunset.
Finished a prime rib dinner at Texas Roadhouse, headed to the hotel for a bowl of tobacco and watching the Thursday night NFL match up.

Y'day I made the hegira to my nearest "metropolis" (23,000) on a meds mission, plus a stop at my audiologist's place for a HA cleaning and re-tuning. Mine are only 7 years old but FIVE GENERATIONS "obsolete"! The latest ones are wowza-machines. Incredible features. Incredible prices, too. Nevertheless, I walked out with a pair. (Who needs to eat anyway?) They are designed (in Denmark) to pair with and communicate with my iPhone. I think those two are plotting against me.

Outlanders don't seem to mess with Sandhillers in these parts. Poaching on the lands of others goes way back. NM game laws permit pursuit of a wounded animal across fence lines. Normally a hunter would come to the house and ask permission to enter to take their kill. That nicety has gone by the wayside.

Fantastic day here today. 72°, sun, no wind to speak of. Took advantage of that to check out a coupla deer guns. The Ruger 77/44 (bolt gun), 44 Magnum, is ready to go. Also the 257 Bob, with which I am yet to take a deer. Very accurate rifle and capable of 1" at 200Y (verified often!). Can do it but not much needed since my stand always produces at 50Y or much less. Need to check out the 308 too but have to load some fodder for that once National Procrastination Month is over.

Ol' timey, but still a fantastic cartridge. The 243 pushed it aside and that was a mistake IMO. Anyway, I have two of them and they are NOT for sale.

Cool and rainy all day, and will continue overnight onto the morning. Keeping myself amused with a bathroom remodel job, restoring some old drugstore-grade pipes and carving a jack o'lantern. Now eating some roasted pumpkin seeds and drinking a beer.

Good, cool day today. I got the greenhouse wiring and lighting finished and most of the shed wired. I will finish the shed electrics tomorrow and probably start building a ramp for the greenhouse.

I'm trying to get geared up to replace my desktop PC. The new one's here. I'm replacing all my UPS's at the same time. There'll be a lot of crawling under the desk and lying in awkward positions for several minutes at a time while I identify, disconnect, and reconnect everything. Then probably some hours of getting software and drivers installed, kinks worked out, files moved over, etc.

Trimmed my new Ram, Harold, today. He has not been sheared in a while and his rear end is a bit "muddy". So, I held him while Cassandra clipped him into a more sanitary sheep. He was a good boy all through it. Rewarded with carrots and sweet feed. I sat on a chair with my arm around his neck and a lariat. The sheep halter is way too small. He is a big boy.

Got all of the wiring finished today. All the circuits work and no smoke. Most importantly, no re-dos! 150 feet of wire, 7 outlets, 5 switches and 3 GFIs with zero mistakes. Not bad for an old man.
