The kids harass me every year to put a personal ornament in the Christmas tree so I got this from SPC's VIP estate sale. Going to run a gold string through it and voila, Christmas ornament.

Ronv69 I'm gonna go out on a limb here, but I think it's an HS Studio, based on the styling. chasingembers if it is, and you wind up smoking it, let me know your thoughts. I've been seeing some really good lookers on ebay, but can't find anything really on the company.

I got my early father's day present from the kids, NOS Ismet Bekler's father of our country George Washington that they know I have long admired his contribution to society. This one says circa 1980. This didn't come from Marty Pulvers site, but this is a commentary of his: I really like the base, it feels good in the hand.

I've been seeing some really good lookers on ebay, but can't find anything really on the company. Just arrived today, and wow it's smaller than I thought! Something that wasn't listed in it's description is that it's also a reverse calabash.

I pulled the trigger on this refurbished Willard Lovat. It's the same size as that Icarus I enjoy so much, so I'm hoping it'll join the rotation as another "working the croft" pipe.

Mighty fine Meer Charlie. I have a Wineador in my pipe room, heats it up, decided to buy a ThermoElectric 150 cigar humidor and remove Wineador. That’s coming next Wednesday for my TO ME Father’s Day.

I may end up giving one a shot one of these days. A few months ago, I ordered a Balandis. Still haven't smoked it. I'll leave it at that. Now I'm hesitant about deals that seem too good.

The price of wide mouth pint jars has finally dropped, so I picked up another dozen. Since they looked so lonely on the shelf, I ordered a pound of Peter Stokkebye PS 52 "Proper English" to fill some of them.

That doesn’t surprise me though… I was talking to a civil engineer yesterday in Scottsdale that was building multimillion dollar homes and he said that over the last few months the blip in the supply chain from Covid has stratospherically affected his prices which his customers are willing to pay, when he can source them. The company that I worked for saw it coming and loaded our yard to the gills when I thought it was overkill at the time. Everything we have in stock that is hard to get is being sold to established customers. It leaves the guys that don’t have an account wandering in to get product only to leave empty handed, they go on the waiting list.

The supply chain "blip" from CV-19 has affected nearly everything where logistics and shipping are concerned, as far as I can tell. It's been most noticeable to me in regards to lumber. I had a neighbor who tore out his old deck only to discover that he couldn't buy enough wood at one time to rebuild it. When the boards were finally available, he couldn't afford them! I'm looking at close to 1k just to reinforce the floor of the Stag & Sickle with 7/16" plyboard.
