Thanks guys, I have probably 6 or 7 Pete’s of the garden variety… a couple 1980’s system pipes, lower end Aran’s and such, and a highly prized Pre-Republic with a boomerang stem. These are all some really nice grades, I always wanted some from the Sherlock series, a pretty nice line.
Smoking the bulldog Hudson with some St. James flake from 2017… them two go together well.

What's the difference? It all looks the same from here. Besides, my 7th great grandfather was one of the founders of New France. That's the only place in Canada that counts! 😜🍁🇫🇷🤠 Really, one of the founders of Nouvelle - France ? I'm interested, of course. What was your ancestor's patronym? 7th great grandfather Charles Lemoine.

7th great grandfather Charles Lemoine. Well you know, I believe you have 512 7th great-grandparents. You need to explain that to me. I have traced my mother's line back a thousand years, thanks to the Catholic church keeping records in France. My father's family only back to the Norman invasion. Oh, I get it! Yes, it all adds up. They say that if you go back 900 years everyone is related. But it's still fun to know that you have the blood of warriors in your DNA. And Charles Lemoine has a huge number of living descendents, in the US, France, and even Canada.

It's cool though that you know the history of someone that far back.

What we don't know can make our lives shallow. Knowing our connections makes us strive.

A Rowdy bunch you are~ Yoda Somebody had to do it! 😁 The attack on Schenectady was retaliation against an Iroquois attack on Ville - Marie. There has been a lot of those on both sides (attacks & retaliationa ttacks) until 1701, at which time the Iroquois nations agreed to sign La grande paix de Montréal peace treaty.

One on my dad's side. tunearch.org/wiki/Annotation:Vance_no_moreEarlier invaded England with The Bastard, advised Henry 8 and were officers in Cromwells Army. Lords in Scotland for 600 years and were heroes in the Seige of Londonderry.

Danish Estates: Nording (Denmark) Moss Partially Rusticated Freehand. I wouldn't have tumbled but made the mistake of checking specs: .88" bore and 2.1" depth. Mmm! A biggie! Plus, I didn't think $50 was too bad. We shall see, as the blind man said.

Ten tins of Warped "Scarecrow". I didn’t know about this blend until it was sold out, which was pretty quick. I looked at some of the other Warped offerings, and a couple other blends I think appeal to me more, but the warped scarecrow is pretty cool.

“ I didn't know that my dad was half native American until I was 68”
I didn’t know my grandmother was from a tribe that was wiped out, and given a Hispanic Catholic name from the Mission that gave refuge… found that out as an adult, an unmistakable side profile of Native American.

Sent a young man, he’s in his forties, a Roush, Dunhill and a Weiner pipe. When he was in the chips he sent me several Artisen pipes out of the blue. He’s had back problems and surgery, he’s not down and out but the medical bills are staggering. This may make him smile along with the turducken I’m gonna send him. He was good to me.

One of the nicer and more pleasant aspects of being an older guy who has done OK in the world is giving stuff away. I'm working on books, pictures, knives, furniture, and guns. It's fun and rewarding.

My grandmother looked like the picture on a Buffalo nickel. She died when I was 7, but I should have guessed. Two great grandmothers walked the trail of tears, but they gave up their land in Oklahoma so no tribal membership for me.

But getting a reservation could be problematical.
