Package arrived yesterday from Calabash Pipes World. A very large reverse calabash meer with silver cap and band. I think/hope I'm done with new pipes for a while.

The 3 pipes I mentioned a couple days are no longer in the mail. I has them in my hands. They are sweet.
May be about to pull the trigger on some Drucquer & Sons blends from Smoking Pipes while they've got the 15% off sale.

Decided to try a meerschaum pipe (again). I hope I will not end up disapointed. I chose a Tekin (AKB) Spigot Apple.

Nice meer. I was looking at that one yesterday. Love the bent apple shape. The tobacco sale is tempting, but I’m holding off for the local B&M this weekend.

It is tempting tempting, but I think I need to thin out the collection a bit before I add more.

As I am starting to appreciate quality aromatics more and more, I placed an order to try some aromatics I have never tried before:
- Ashton Rainy Day - Ashton Smooth Sailing - Ashton Winding Road - Davidoff Scottish Mixture - Davidoff Blue Mixture - Cult Conspiracy
And will be revisiting War Horse Bar Red.

Well, if the pipe doesn't work out ,at least you'll have a nice door knob ...just kidding Pal, it looks like a fine nose-warmer, and cold weather is right around the corner.

Cross-posting after posting in the wrong thread:
My latest from SP just arrived. Man, this Sara Eltang Canadian isn't just lovely. It's exactly the right size for me (overall and bowl size). It's hard to tell that from photos and measurements on a web site. Gonna have to inaugurate this one ASAP.

Yup, I done did it. Tins of: Trafalgar Prince's Blend Red Lion First Amendment And because I have the impulse-control of a 5-year-old on PCP, this Sara Eltang Canadian: Wow!!! That is one beautiful pipe. I am drawn to straight pipes in classic shapes. And that one is absolutely gorgeous. I might be boring, but I have come to appreciate those who can color inside the lines.

Thanks, William! I agree. When somebody can execute a classic shape extremely well, they've done something. Just because you can make a billiard or a prince or an apple doesn't mean you can make any of them well, much less beautifully. As noted elsewhere, based on the first few smokes, this one is a real candidate to become my first favorite pipe (of my 2nd piping life). One thing I've noticed about it as I've handled it more is the bowl tapers in an arc toward the top enough to almost be a bit of a brandy instead of a billiard. It's not a brandy, but it's curvier than a typical billiard.
