My Pipe Of The year from the Pipe Club Of London arrived yesterday, it only took 5 days! I thought that the pipe tamper made by maestro De Paja was included, and was initially disappointed, but the price for a tamper was too steep for my liking. I can afford it, just cannot justify. This bulldog I believe, will be a great smoker. Great looking pipe. Express shipping seems to be working well from Europe these days. Last May, I had a pipe take two and half weeks to arrive from Denmark with a good part of that waiting for Customs clearance. Now, like your experience from England, a pipe was shipped with UPS Express on Thursday from Germany and will arrive here tomorrow. DHL, fellas. DHL is breaking its foot off in USPS's hindparts. If you can, ask for DHL shipping.

Maybe they are good on the west coast, but not in Texas.

They've always been reliable and whippet quick.

Needs that stem cleaned, but it's unsmoked! Half of the time they actually are, Make that a third of the time. Most of mine were, just glad I don't have to devote much time to cleaning an unsmoked stummel!😃 Remember this mess?

A package from Etsy I've been waiting three weeks for had less travel distance that an SPC order made recently that arrived in two days.🤷♂️

At the company I worked for if I saw something was coming DHL, I would start the claim process.

My Peterson Special Edition couldn't fit a pencil in the bowl. It cleaned up really nicely though. Took a couple of days and 5 packs of pipe cleaners.

A Savinelli Bing's Favorite. The sandblast with the standard black stem. Apparently I got the last one Tobacco Pipes had. I'm going to have to get one of these one day. Very nice.

God love the USPS. You can always count on them. If I have a package being delivered on a rainy day, I know where it will be: in the nearest deep puddle available.
Now have some LJ Peretti blends drying out.

Not a pipe (well, it HAS one), but “in the mail”— or rather in the custody of Mr Brown on its way to my friendly local pusher. One of those Ruger take-down 9mm carbines. I’ve gotten very interested in the 9mm ca’tridge lately. Something I used to deride before the revolution in 9mm bullet/powder applications. Be fun to see what this little toy can do and how agreeably it does it. Cases, primers, powder, and projectiles awaiting its arrival, mayhap as early as tomorrow.

SP.com order is out for delivery, and apparently so is my Merchant Service order. Fingers crossed, but I should be swimming in pipes and tobacco by the end of the day.

Well, the Merchant Service order showed up. The tobacco pouch is great. Great coloring, beautiful leather. I see this softening up nicely with use, and becoming a nice accessory.
The pipe is a total disappointment. Totally my fault though. Quality and construction are great, but I guess I didn't pay enough attention and actually visualize the dimensions. This thing is ridiculously huge. Not talking about the length, but the bowl size. If I had to describe it, I would say it's damn close to an ODA. I can almost get my entire thumb in the bowl. This thing is significantly larger than the Bing's Favorite from Savinelli. I should have gone with the standard. Oh well, lesson learned.

That's about the same size as the Basil Meadows Bing that I had. I thought it was a "medium" 😁🤠

I've been sticking my pouch in my back pocket, even though I don't go anywhere all day, just to start breaking it in.

It's basically his Bing with a cutty bowl. The band is inset, and the transitions are pretty much flawless. I'd imagine his Bings are probably spot on for traditional size and length. I don't know if you've looked at them, but if I were to get an affordable Bing, I'd go with one of his. (I have a Basil Meadows, but fit/finish isn't very good, has noticeable inclusions on the surface, and it was $200) Here's my cutty:

Or "i am prejudice against all races"😉 I don't mind. Civic duty and all that. It's an interesting experience. I was on a sequestered jury for a week last year, right at the end of February. It was like summer camp. You throw a bunch of strangers together, isolate them from everyone and everything else, and regiment their days. People quickly bond and/or form factions, drama ensues, personal details get shared in teary late-night conversations, everyone says "let's stay in touch," and no one does. And then there's the trial.
