Until noon, blessed silence. Then I put my hearing aids in.

Without the hearing aids in do you have silence or do you hear a humming sound like white noise? Just curious.

Alan Parsons Project: “I Robot” A masterpiece. he was in town a week ago or so, I passed on this one, but saw him the last two times he came to town. A great show, always that exceeds expectations....Alan Parsons runs a tight ship.

The 1200+ song 'favorites' playlist on my phone, in alphabetical order because the random setting isn't as random as I think it should be. Just finished Gary Numan's 'Down in The Park," " Downtown" (both Petula Clark and the B-52's versions), "Tommy James and the Shondells' "Dragging the Line," and am now enjoying "Dream On" by Aerosmith.

Just watched “cry macho” on HBO with Clint Eastwood starring. This was the title track sung by Bannister, who sounds a lot like Merle Haggard that was a good friend of Eastwood.
Good movie!

Beth Gibbons voice is still beautifully haunting. I remember first hearing Portishead in the mid 90's, while having dinner with friends in a dark pseudo opium den-like Thai restaurant in the Marigny, NOLA.

New to me and as you say, beautifully haunting. Though to be honest you had me at "dark pseudo opium den-like Thai restaurant in ... NOLA."

Part of my Highway Play List for the past 30 years I had it on while driving through Houston a couple of weeks ago. Played that for my two year old grandson the other day. He thought the vocals were hilarious. Jan Akkerman is awesome on that track. A guitarist not often mentioned as one of the greats, but I believe he is.
