Thinking of trying some snuff sometime, but wouldn't know where to get started. Any suggestions? I would start by looking at some of the snuffs Toque makes. Pick a few (small tins in case you don't like), and give it a go. Some good info on starting here and there is lot more info on YouTube. Let me know if you have any other more specifics questions and I'll provide what ever info I can.

Took a little break from the snuff here recently - was feeling like a toot or two today so I got out the stash. Princes Special earlier and now White Elephant

Noticed some of these snuffs don’t keep well. Had to scrape the top layer off my Tom Buck. And my big can of cheeta smells like ammonia now - good or bad?

I always put tape around the seam if I don't plan on opening them anytime soon. I haven't had any issues... yet. But most of my snuff is only 1-2 years old.
Cheeta is always fairly high with the ammonia smell. Have you tried airing some out to see if it goes away?

It didn’t necessarily smell good before either, I still like it.
