rdpipes _ what ever happened to that Peckerwood? Last I heard of him, he hung a sign in Lonesome dove stating “We don’t rent pigs” Good to see you, stranger! rdpipes _ what ever happened to that Peckerwood? He's just up the road being a hermit and waiting for some lazy jerk to drop in. rdpipes _ what ever happened to that Peckerwood? I missed him and his work. Nice to see someone else has taken on his handle. Thank you Gentlemen, yeah you too Ron!

You seem to have the skinny on everybody, Ron. You sure you don't work for the gubmint? Ron reaches out to people to make sure they are alright, he's good like that.

As time goes by, I think of members that dropped out that I enjoyed reading their posts. Desires wane and people move on, but I hope that nothing negative has befallen them. dave g came to mind. I haven't been in tobacco-related forums for all that long - quite honestly, I thought pipe-smokers just smoked their pipes, and until a year ago, I had no idea they talked about such things on the internet. But over the last twenty years I have been an avid participant in various history forums: (billiards, baseball, photography, Civil War, even old clothing) and at some point have dropped completely out of some of them, just because my interests changed. People from those forums do reach out every now and then, which is nice. I find that what helps stay in contact is the forums where you are actually seeing each other every now and then (conventions, etc.) and mailing stuff back and forth, as we do with pipes and tobacco. I think the Zoom meetings will really help keep people from disappearing.

I believe that he passed on. I know he lost his wife ,and then a short time later ,his son...hadn't heard of his passing. I haven't seen a post from Josh in some time, but Walt should know more about Josh.

I believe that he passed on. This the first I've heard, this makes me very sad. Peter was a very nice man and never had a bad word to say of anyone. I reckon his losses got the better of him, I will certainly say a pray for him tonight.

First I heard too. So sad if it's true. I messaged Josh yesterday, actually, to check he's ok.

Last email I heard from Josh was that he was really busy with family and work...but to my knowledge, he is doing just fine.
