It’s called onX and was designed originally for hunters. But it has many other applications. Costs about $25 a year for one state and about $100 for the whole US. Shows highly detailed sat, topo, or hybrid maps. You can smallify or biggify them at will. Shows owners of land. You can put down waypoints. Get local weather. Let’s you track yourself, showing distance and time. Also does great land measurement. Just connect the dots on the map and it will tell you the size of the plot to two decimal places. I’ve had this app for over a year now and it’s become almost essential. These guys do a good job and are worth supporting. Besides, it’s great fun! (I got mine first on the app store, then cancelled that and went with them directly. A better deal IMO.)

That is awesome! However I spend time in crown land at times. I still believe I would prefer the compas and water proof topo map. I'm just old school bushcraft I guess.

Thanks for the heads up, I will pass it on to my hunting buddies. That feature alone sounds like it is a worthwhile product.
