So I moved from Texas to New York and I was finally able to get the rest of my stuff shipped up here. I have been unpacking my pipe boxes today, and I noticed that most of them are extremely loose in the tenon/shank area and I'm hoping that after they acclimate to the new temp humidity range after a few months that will firm back up, but if it doesn't, I'm not sure what to do exactly. Any thoughts?

Yo ex
Hopefully, running a few bowls through the loose pipes will tighten them right up.

Any thoughts? If they were fine before you moved, I would expect them to return to fine as they acclimate. Wood breathes.

I guess you better send them back to Texas ASAP!

I hope that they acclimatize for you. If on the odd chance they don't. I recommend first swapping stems to salvage pipes (for those you can). Other option is pipe art, folk art even.

Governor Cuomo will probably list pipes as deadly weapons soon.
Probably best ship them back to Texas.

I'm sure they'll normalize given some time here. Just explain the New York taxes to them and they'll tighten up,,,I know certain parts of my body do when I get my tax bills.

It's been damp (unusual) here and I don't even try to grab a pipe from the outdoor smoking area. They are like sponges.

Pipes? From Texas? Obviously terrorists.
