I have Savinelli fruit and vanilla in the Yello Bole Burley. For the walk to moms. Got to shovel her out. Same pipe and plumberry in my pouch while I shovel. Same pipe and Mac Baren 7 seas cherry blend in a zipp lock bag for the walk home. You're a good son. I never once shoveled snow for my mom. 😉🤠 Were there shovels back then?🤪 Thank you, I appreciate the compliment.

Busy, busy day. Bounced between Haunted Bookshop and Match Victorian in a cob early in the day. Low Country Virginia Oriental and now McConnell 5 Year Matured Virginia in another cob. Tasting some similarities between these two, since they're both Va-Ors. Big difference in price, though.

Half way through shoveling. Plumberry in the Yello Bole Burley. Got a text that Sherman is starting to look and meow for me. Snuggles, a cup of tea when I get home.

The Princess has gone to run our daughter on some college-related errands and have dinner together, so I'm going to repair to the garage with my little propane heater. I was going to do a bowlful of "Visions of Celephais" in my honey-coated RT Dublin, but I mixed up a batch of "Harvest of Leng" last night and my Study still smells like Latakia - in a good way - so I might have some of that as well. Who knows? I have at least 7 uninterrupted hours of quiet contemplation, reading, and smoking ahead of me.

Cornell & Diehl Awakened Elder in my Savinelli 320 Trevi. This is a very nice smoke. Have you tried any of the others from the C&D "Old Ones" line? Miskatonic Mixture or Innsmouth is next on my list, I think.

Wife said go ahead. But I have too many pipes as it is. But, she said go ahead...That happened to me about a year ago. I was looking at a gun ad and said "Wow, that's cheap!". My wife said "Well, buy it then". So I did based on that alone. Still haven't fired it yet.

They were locked down for 6 weeks, due to the virus and just last week started to allow visits again. Good on you. If I am in an assisted living facility, it would be some pretty dark days for a person with numbered days not to see their families. I think that there is a workable solution with the pandemic, but administrators are generally pretty dumb goats and unable to exercise critical thinking in situations like this.

😁 I figured out it was the Georgian Peach Right on!😁 want more? 😁 I wouldn’t ask you for more, but if it were here, I’d sure smoke it. The peach and honey casing faded pretty much away over time, and the burly, cavendish and virginia were a nice, balanced mixture in themselves.

After visiting my Dad, came home and ate dinner, then napped for 2 hours. Didn't realize that I was that tired. Smoking a little Haunted Bookshop in a cob to help me wake up. Hockey's on the tube. No big plans for the weekend, and I hope to keep it that way. Going to prep some flake for next smoke(s), probably University Flake.

My dad’s been in LTC for the six months now. The last four months his facility has been under lockdown because of Covid. This means no outside visitors, no contact with fellow neighbours on his floor and quarantined in his little room 23 hours of the day. It’s like being in solitary confinement or death row. It is indeed a senior citizen “killer.” So much for dignity and respect for our elders.

The six weeks with no visitors were tough, even though my sister and I would talk to him every day. During that time, a handful of residents got sick, along with several of the staff there. When things settled done, they all got their first dose of vaccine. Round 2 is in a couple weeks. Seniors in the area are getting their first does now. I don't know when it will be available for the rest of us, yet. Still got a ways to go with this thing.

We moved my Dad in just before Thanksgiving after hospital/rehab, because of a broken hip. Additional medical conditions ruled out going home. He was settling in (took to it a lot better that we thought he would), when they locked down between Christmas and New Year's. The isolation was tough, no social activities or group exercise. They had to take all their meals in their apartments. He was allowed to walk (with a mask) and was able to do a little visiting. Most of the time, though, he was parked in front of his TV. Hopefully, things get more normal around here going forward. Best wishes to you and your father.
