I'm playing catch-up, so I had to skip replying to several things. Some nice looking pipes in recent posts.
I actually went outside and smoked today! Temps up to 40, and sunny. Not ideal, but it'll do.

I spent a good bit of the day working on my ice machine, a very frustrating, but ultimately successful project. Took a break in the afternoon for a bowl of PS LBF in a Radice Rind Billiard with a faux bamboo shank. This evening I'm finishing up a DGT bowl of Russ' Tastykake in a Bones bent Dublin; then some Wilke Sailor Jack in a Peterson 2018 01 Christmas Pipe; then Peter Heinrichs Curly Block in a Radice 1/4 bent Rusticated twin bore apple. Happy IPSD!

After doing more than planned today, I'm relaxing with a Peterson Killarney filled with GL Pease Six Pence. Smoked my usual while shopping, grilling and watching the hockey games. Had to run to my Dad's house to make sure everything there was okay and pick up a couple things he asked for. I discovered an unopened bottle of Old Grand Dad in a commemorative decanter from 1976, still in its original packaging. My son and I are sampling a bit of it right now. 44 year-old Old Grand-Dad ain't bad.

Smoking The Lion and the Lamb, one of the few home-blends of mine that turned out as intended or better. It's an oriental forward mix ,with a whisper of latakia, and enough black cavendish for some dark fruit in the background. A few puffs ,and a slight bit of imagination would bring F.M.O.T.T. to mind ,for those lucky enough to remember the Frog Morton blends. The pipe is a rusticated apple from Brebbia, and the coffee is Yuban, and very hot!

Good evening, everyone. The day started like most others, with Haunted Bookshop in a cob. Then, as weekends with no specific plans usually go, got very busy with un-decorating (yes, Christmas decorations) the cave (after all, it's Lent, my wife reminded me). This turned into a full day cleaning affair of the basement. Yes, it had to be done, glad for my wife's help. Everything is clean and dusted, holiday decorations packed and stored, non-holiday décor back in its place. The whole while, I smoked HB, McConnell Scottish Cake, Peterson Hyde Park. We didn't set aside time to make dinner, so we ordered pizza. Now, enjoying a bowl of Plumcake in a Brigham System 1/4 bent pot/apple.

Letting my cobs rest until tomorrow morning anyway. Smoking C & D Vixen in a rusticated Rossi Vittoria 1/4 bent Billiard. I have enough rubbed out for another bowl. I'm afraid that if I save it for tomorrow's first smoke, the Patch will think the world is coming to an end. I guess it'll be my 2nd smoke tomorrow. I want to finish the weekend with something from G,H & Co/Sam Gawith.

C&D Crooked Lane in my Don Warren Freehand. Nice flame on that one. Don's smooth pipes consistently have great grain. This pipe is also Algerian briar.
