Greetings Patchers. Since I only smoke outside. And we are having single digit temperatures. 1 pipe it lasting 2 days and 20relights!š
This morning after work, I was digging in the cellar and came across a jar of Esoterica Brighton. Jar date 4/2017. Recall it was nothing special to me. But figured why not.ā So off I go with a small Stanwell freehand. And a mug of hot coffee. Letās see if some age on it and me, changes my memory.

Picked up my tin of C&D Visions of Celephais and another couple ounces of Golden Harvest Extra (the 'extra' is for the bit of Cavendish added in, the old fella covering the shop for Ed told me).
We're working on packing up the house, but if I can get away for a pipe this evening it'll be the 2:1 mix of GHE and Plateau of Leng for the first smoke in my 1st refurb attempt bent bulldog.
The Celephais smells kind of like vanilla yogurt covered dried apricots in the best possible way. I'm really looking forward to giving it a try.

I understand the VoC is a well balanced and somewhat complex aro. Iām intrigued of itās contents: cigar leaf, Kentucky, Virginia etc. A review would be appreciated please once youāve had a chance to sample this exotic fruit. I see someone else made the same request also. Cheers......š

Of course, the coffee beans I use have natural cocoa and almond notes already, so that may be skewing the results. I'll have to smoke it by itself sometime to really get a bead on it.

I thought that I was getting low on Happy Brown Bogie and was sweating being able to get some more soon. Rooted around in the cellar, and found a 500 gram roll from 2016 and a 450 gram or so roll from 2019. So that is what I am smoking tonight. Wow... 2016 and 19 hun? Should be very smooth you lucky duck! Enjoy Charlie. šš I can't say this one gets tamed down like your average Virginia blend with years on it. It continues to have a rip-snorting effect no matter how long it is aged. It is good to cellar because when you want a he-man smoke this fits the bill, if the anti-smokers went after a potent smoke this would be the one. Cellar, because if it disappears that would suck, not so much for mellowing but because from lack of availability. It would carry you through in the Zombie Apocalypse though.

The DFC is becoming my go-to pipe smoke. This is the first and only pipe I ever had by Joe Case. I love it. In fact, if I remember right, I got it from a site recommended on here where they refurbished pipes and then sold them for charity.
