Lamb Leg and Sirloin ready for the oven. Sirloin was slit open and stuffed with garlic cloves and fresh Rosemary. Leg has numerous slits stuffed with garlic cloves. Low and slow, 325 degrees.  |

For a REAL athletic contest try Irish hurling. Nothing compares. I was privileged and delighted to be in my local in Ballyferriter, Kerry, on 5 September 2010, for the All-Ireland Championship game between Tipperary and Kilkenny. The most thrilling match I have ever seen in ANY sport. Kilkenny was going for their fifth straight championship and Tipp was the underdog. The pub was for Tipp, of course. Amazing game. Try YouTube for “ Tipperary vs Kilkenny All-Ireland Hurling Final 2010.” Careful— you might get hooked.  Irish sport is all amateur and that adds to the fun. Also, Irish fans do not tolerate unsportsmanlike behavior and will boo such a player completely off the field— so there are none. The Guinness flowed, the ceiling lifted to the cheers as a courageous Tipp team pulled it off. What a great day that was! |

But what do you do if you are a ref, see a hold or whatever? Ignore it or do your job? Refs see more today than many did in the past but there still are a lot of missed & questionable calls. Like spiking. |
