I've been trying for some time to get the vaccine..I've called every pharmacy in town..None of them have it..My wife went to our doctor today .She explained my situation to her..The good doctor called the local hospital and got me an appointment next Thursday for my first shot. They will set me a time for the second shot..Then i'm supposed to be 94 percent protected. It seems that because of my age I'm in the first group to get the shots. Finally some one cares a bit about us old folks.

Glad you are being taken care of. Depends on what State you live. WV, Ohio and Indiana seem to be doing a decent job of getting the vaccine to healthcare, teachers and over the age of 65.

My mom was able to get it today but my dad was passed over for someone else in line (not sure what the deciding factor was). He'll hopefully get it next week. Here they're going by first-come first-served in some states and by ranked groups in others.

Ranked, here. Still just health workers, first responders, and 65+.

A beer and Tequila for me.
People like Bill Gates the population control guy he is ( who recently became the largest owner of farmland in the US) were too frisky to jump on board.

I get my 2nd shot next Tuesday. I had a reaction to the first one. Headache, chills, weakness most of the next day. Spent the day in my easy chair covered with a heated blanket. Worth it, but hope it won't happen with the 2nd shot.

My wife works in healthcare and is in her 30s and the second shot knocked her on her arse. Fever, aches, whole nine yards. It was gone within 48 hours. I'm just saying, have some NyQuil or something ready because it's usually the second shot that's the doozy!

I have had both shots. I received the Moderna vaccination. My recommendation for the second shot is to take 3 Advil before the shot, and another 3 before bed. I had zero side effects, other than a sore arm. YMMV.

Getting my second MODERNA vaccine this very afternoon.
50 per cent possibility of some reaction. So, I will head straight home after.

My wife and I have both had both rounds of the Moderna version. We both experienced the typical reactions, lasting 24-36 hours. We are grateful for the opportunity.

received three emails from the NM Heath Department directing me to the wrong location for vaccination. Once I figured out where the right location is, a two hour wait in line to get second shot.
Some genius decided to schedule Senior Citizen 2nd shots with 1st shots for the next tier. Thus, hundreds of people in line. An hour wait in the car followed by a 90 minute wait outdoors in a people line. I was directed to the curb service line and waited in my truck cab for less than one hour receiving my vaccination through the window. I was able to watch the lesser mortals trudge past in their line while I remained in the truck and vaccination came to me. Not entirely certain why it worked that way. I just went where I was sent following orders.
A little woozy, no soreness although a neighbor punched my shoulder in the exact vaccination spot, twice. Just for good measure!

We barely got to stop walking before we were in the seat for the shot. Quickly off to the waiting room and home.

2nd dose of Moderna yesterday. Slightly sore injection area. No other symptoms so far. Taking it easy today, in case hair grows on my palms or eyebrows join in the middle.
