How is that Presbyterian? It's another I'm curious about. I'd call it a light English. Modest amount of Latakia, but noticeable. Nice daytime smoke for me. I save lat-bombs for the night. Thanks, Pete! How would you compare it to the C&D Yale Mixture? I got 8oz in the mail today, and am really enjoying my first pipeful. It has just the right amount of Lat to give body and flavor

Another fun day at the office. Sun was out, no wind, practically shorts weather. Started off with St. James Flake and finished my day with Grousemoor. Guess it was a SG kind of day. You have a lot of SG days, it appears.

Presbyterian is in the same neighborhood as Yale Mixture. Presbyterian tastes a bit more smoking and has some mild Oriental spice. Yale Mixture is just Va and Lat. I’d describe Presbyterian as sorta Yale Mixture with a wee bit more Lat plus some Orientals. Personally, I find freshly tinned Presbyterian to be a little disjoint and recommend a minimum tin age of 6 to 12 months to let the flavors meld.

The tin I have opened isn't going very quickly, in fact, I need to jar it up. I smoke it maybe a couple times a week. I have a few more in the cellar that I'll sit on for while.

These are the Greek Byzantine Cavalry, they invented a technique: as a triangle formation Δ they swarm in the centre of the enemy trying to break him in two, then was more easier for them and the Infantry which was following to win the divided army. The name of that technique was called in Greek ''Χωσια" ,spelled like ''Husia" in english. Also there was another unit, a light Cavalry which called in Greek ''Χωσαριοι" spelled like ''Husarians" in english. From the words ''Husia-Husarians'' came the name Hussars. The Hussars from Hungary created at 1458, the Byzantine Greeks were hundreds years older.

Stirling Bridge/ Amphora B.C. mix ,in a Kaywoodie Shellcraft lovat, a slow smoke contest pipe from a C.O.R.P.S. show, from 03 or 04. The fee to compete that year jumped from five to fifteen bucks, to offset the cost of the pipe...everybody came away a winner that year, with a really nice Kaywoodie for fifteen bucks.

Seems to me you work from home which is something I would have loved to do. Unfortunately, in my profession, that would never happen. When you decide to join “the dark side,” come and join me. There’s always room for another piper in our group. 👍🏌️♂️🥃 Have a great day Pete.
