Just lit up some GLP Cumberland in a Savinelli Roma rusticated 1/4 bent pot for meeting #4 of the day (I skipped an 11:00 meeting to get some work done). I hear you brother. Near the end of my career my patience was getting lower and lower from “Death by PowerPoint.”

McConnell's Scottish Cake in a Ben Wade Majestic. About to get some lunch and take a nap. Got my second Covid shot this morning. After a year of cutting my own hair, I must say I am really looking forward to getting a "store bought" haircut again (among other things).

Last night finished off the evening with a bowl of KBV Ravens Eye in a Dunhill Bruyere Group 4 bent billiard. Cool water accompanying.

Golly. That's some bird's eye. Thanks! This pipe has weird grain that makes tight 90 degree turns on the front and back of the bowl. So, while the left side is tight birdseye, the left side is vertical straight grain. Trever Talbert makes Ligne Bretagne pipes from a stash of old French stummels that he obtained while living in France. He finishes them and hand cuts ebonite stems for them. That's wild. That must have been one crazy piece of briar.

Just finishing PS LBF in a cob. I'll be slicing some 3P after dinner and before the Bruins. The 3Ps is better than I remember it. I first tried it when I had access to Mick McQuaid and Velvan and Warrior, so it was following in some big footprints, but the 3P is really good in its own right.

Had another pipe loaded and ready to go. I was getting caught up on another thread, "Problem Solved", and decided on a change. Now I'm smoking Pegasus in my little Malaga pocket Apple. Time for dinner in a few minutes.

From Smoking Pipes: "Named for a book of Jewish mystisicm, Gates of Light combines special cubed Burley with mellow stoved red Virginias, setting the stage for a delicate interplay between exotic Turkish leaf and spicy Perique."

Next purchase is at beginning of April. I'm already committed to stocking up on the usual. Plus, a tin of Grousemoor. Will I need to use a pipe that I don't mind ghosting?

I was all over the place when I returned to pipe smoking. I have lots of single tins stashed away that I'm in no hurry to open. Since then, I've narrowed it down to a good sized core of blends to build my cellar. Now and then, I'll get a tin of something new, like the Grousemoor I'm going to buy. If I like it, then I'll have another blend to stockpile. I'm a little nervous about the Lakeland essence, but also curious. The SG/GH blends I've tried (and like), don't have detectable essence to my tastebuds.

Just took about a half mile walk still waiting in the siding picked up a few cans and a couple plastic bottles. Why do people throw piles of garbage all over the place!
