2010 MB HH Vintage Syrian in a Kaywoodie apple. It seems to have held up better than Cyprian blends of that age. Otherwise, I could never taste much difference.

My last bowl of Stirling Bridge with my first Saturday morning coffee. The pipe of the moment is an old 05 shaped Irish Second, a little wooden saxophone, I call it my DNA pipe. It wears an antique oak coloring ,with a deep luster that comes from rubbing it against the side of the nose...sounds gross, but I didn't invent the process, I just wanted to try it one time. Nose oil leaves a satin/ish glow that is much like a hand rubbed toung-oil finish. The pipe came to me as an estate, in fine shape ,but almost white with age, I "nosed" it and the birdseye just jumped out at me...that was years ago now , and the finish has held up. When you do this the pipe is your for good!!!
