WCC Old Dominion in a MM Rob Roy Washington. Close. Maybe we'll matchat telepathically some day! I've never tried any of Watch City's blends. There are a few that might be in my wheelhouse. As far as pipes go, we could both be paid spokespersons for Missouri Meerschaum, That guy at Watch City does good work. I have a handful of their blends. Some are more to my taste than others, but there's really not a darn thing wrong with any of them.

Their motto is "We're not rude, we're Boston nice," but that's just tongue in cheek. He'll chat with customers about his blends all day. He steered me towards a couple I really love. He might do the same on the telephone, but idk. Peretti's, however, is Boston nice. I'm a damn Yankee and it's like getting state secrets from a CIA spook when you ask about blends. At least they suggested blends it turns out I like when I gave my preferences. Sutliff ERR Match in a Legend with Lipton in a mug. Good morning!

April 9th. Today is a day of leisure. C&D Seadog in the sc-23. Followed by blockade runner in the pete x105 spigot. Later today is probably a giant bowl of spc plum pudding As luck would have it my tobacco order arrived and I swapped out the SPC for GLPease gaslight...savinelli antique ahell 515 for reasons.. first time with the blend so keeping the good pipes reserved. The Savi has a nice taper bowl which has a way of lifting the intensity a bit. As I keep my pipes well tended the ghosting issue is minimal which I think the Savi will give a fair treatment to the new blend despite being one of my "working" pipes. The vauen volcano on the other hand has so many overtones it got a cleaning and has to sleep for a few months..( I beat it hard as my first pipe in its defense. Learned germans build heavy pipes, and I dont like the filters...yuk! So hard to keep that big cavity clean and spigots are the only proper moisture control i have ever found..just dump it out!) Anyhoo I digress,
