Once again, John, beautiful pipe, love the grain, classy... Thanks. I was lucky to find this as an unsmoked estate a few years ago. I’m surprised that it doesn’t have DR rating as the grain you see on the left side in the pic is the worst grained side. 😳 However, if it would had had a DR rating, the price would have been more that I would have been willing to pay for it.

Relighting a half bowl of Pete Uni Flake in a Legend. On deck is a Grabow billiard stuffed with GH Kendal Dark (shag). It got cold this evening! I might need to fix some hot cocoa.

Uni Flake is a favorite of mine, never tried the Kendal. Have you started restoring any of those pipes, yet? I'm going to be on the hunt for some to do the same. Need to shop for a grinder/polisher, too.

Need to shop for a grinder/polisher, too. I've made progess. I'll be waxing a couple this weekend. No buffer besides my own little hands. The stem work scared me most, but it wasn't exactly as hard as I thought. I'll unveil something soon.

More Riverboat Gambler, this time in a MM Great Dane Spindle. This blend tastes better in a cob.

Good morning and happy Friday. Came back from Fort Myers last night. Trip was good. So as mentioned earlier. I only took 1 tobacco with me. So KBV Mycroft went with. Those mylar bags travel well. Only used a MM cob with a filter. I found this to be very enjoyable. Jiminks said on Tobacco Reviews, not an all day smoke, but repeatable. Which I agree with.

April 23rd. Light rain this morning so i went with some awakened elder in the savinelli rusticated antique shell 515.(can be found on rebornpipes blog just search the pipe and use the blog link.) Finally found the secret flavor in the blend.. Salt.. How one blends to acheive a salty tang is a mystery. Yet it does fit. An old One rising from the deep sea would be salty.. Anyhoo
