As much as I like HB, I also like some variety. Just lit up a bowl of GLP Cumberland in a rusticated Savinelli Zulu.

Now it's HH ODF RR in a rusticated Savinelli Apple with Cumberland stem. I've led myself to believe that I like the tinned, flake version better, I'm going to do a comparison to see if that still holds up.

I was buying the flakes by the pound at one point, and they seemed like they held more of that tangy flavor than the ready rubbed. Maybe it's in my head.

From the small bottles, carried home in the old aluminum 6-bottle carrier, by an 8 year old, barefoot. Served over ice hand-chipped from the block by mom. (because of the icepick)

Continuing with ODF RR, which was interrupted by dinner. Not complaining. Having a beer from Iceland, something they're calling an Arctic Pale Ale. I didn't know that was a thing. Something my son picked up this afternoon.

C&D Sun Bear in a LePeltier half bent brandy/apple? sitter. Then PS LBF in a Radice Twin Bore Rusticated 1/4 bent apple. This is my second smoke in the LePeltier, a double walled clay pipe with a glazed outer bowl. This pipe came to me in a box lot I bought from a friend at an average $6.50/pipe price. I'd never seen a pipe like this and paid little attention to it until the Clay Pipe thread started. A little sanding and polishing on the stem and this previously unsmoked pipe (note: the staining in the bowl in the picture is due to me loading and then unloading the bowl for the pic) is back in service. I'm not sure how old the pipe is, but the rest of the lot were at least 25 years old and one 72 years old. FWIW, it smokes great; a cool way to smoke a clay pipe. She’s a beauty Kelly!
