Made my visit to Briar Works today. Got a tour and enjoyed it. Bought a bent pot. Photos to follow when I get home Sunday. They had Squadron Leader in bulk. Excited to get some of that. Picked up some Briar Works Country Lawyer, Gawith Commonwealth, Bullseye flake and GL Pease Lagonda.

I really miss having a shop with lots of stock to peruse. I REALLY miss the aroma of a pipe shop. I'm glad you got to have that experience, Jeff.

Pictures of my haul at Briar Works. Picked a Bent Pot. I liked the coffee-color stem.

Did you meet Pete Prevost?
He is a great guy, and you immediately feel like he is a long time friend.

Unless he was working the counter, I did not meet Pete, but the guy who showed me around was great.

Sounds like a great trip, and that is definitely a gorgeous pipe!

Looks like you had a great trip and also showed remarkable restraint at the cash register (but still got a nice pipe (great stem color/stain combo) and good tobaccos). Pipe shop visits are so few and far between for me, anymore, that I tend to spend twice as much as I budget. How's the Country Lawyer, sounds interesting.

Not sure I'll be able to hold out and age it. Has Cigar Leaf, which I like.
