C'mon Christopher, you sent me an instant message with your email address on the 29th letting me know you are moving on (Leaving the patch) and would like to keep in touch. And this thread authored on the 11th. It wasn't that long ago there was a confederacy started over Lonecoyote and several left the patch and encouraged others via messaging to do so, me included. Sometimes it is best to ride out of the gate and don't look back, it will do your soul better and it is respectful to a forum that is a free host to anyone that creates an account. I cannot help but think there is an ulterior motive having read the cabin fever thread. Justin is a straight up honest guy. Think of any forum as 'a life' and leaving it as 'a death'. When you're dead, will you care what anyone thinks? No, your brain will also be dead so no thinking will take place. Maybe they'll think about you a little...maybe not. But who cares? If you had reason enough to leave a stupid discussion forum, you have reason enough to not look back. If you do look back, even to lurk, then you never really left. |

no reason for me to leave. I feel the good thoughts about still being upright at 80 (last Dec) & sometimes with bent sense of humor. Thx to all for putting up with me

Discussion forums really aren't all that important. I've never announced I was leaving one - if it was important to keep in contact with someone I would contact them personally and let them know how to get hold of me. There have been a few forums where I was an avid participant for literally a decade or more, then wandered off. When I returned, no one had noticed I was gone. Hell, in this forum almost no one even realizes I'm posting! Lots of likes from the same folks, but rarely any 'discussion'. Not complaining - just saying it's not all that important.
You're just an extra in everyone else's play, and vice versa. Get used to that fact and your ulcers might slowly go away.

Alright, I have officially had enough.
You threw a temper tantrum for the entire forum to see. I attempted to speak with you via private message, as well as in email, and you proceeded to insult the moderators of this forum, as well as myself. What did I do? Nothing. I let it slide.
You then advertised to the entire forum that you were going elsewhere, and posted instructions for people to contact you if they wanted to "stay in touch". Any other forum would have booted your arse the minute you did that. Again, I did nothing, and let it slide. I respected the fact that you had a right to leave, as well as remain a part of this community.
Finally, you decide to outright insult me in public with this comment. I very much appreciate you making the decision for me. Makes it a lot easier to kick your arse to the curb.
If anyone has any issues with my decision, feel free to message me privately. If anyone wants to leave because they think this wasn't handled properly, that is your choice and I will respect it.
I consider this matter closed.

Chris (mrlunting), we've been through this before...if you aren't happy, just leave...no need to raise a ruckus! Justin (Sparks) has given us a small place in the sun where we can enjoy ourselves...it is His forum, sometimes supported by generous donors, raffles, etc., but it is His place and His rules...very simple, don't be a pain in the a s s for either him or others.
It isn't that difficult, really it isn't.

Every now and then I come across one of her posts when I'm looking for information related to pipe construction or materials. She has a good sense of humor. And obviously she makes a hell of a pipe. |

I got worked up the first time I saw one of her bings, and ended up with a chubby <=== sorry, can't stop myself.
...as that was all I could afford. God bless the soul who asked her to make one the first time, as she's done a few now.

She has some distribution agreements with a few places like Smokingpipes.com. Also, I find she updates her FB or Instagram more when she has something available vs. the website.
You may want to reach out to her and see if she has anything on the bench or even what a commission might run you. You may be surprised.

Keeping the most wayward thread alive. Checked out the pipes on Smokingpipes.eu. They are nice, but I really have a thing for those pencil-shanks. One day... And, I'd like to get a pipe from Ron and Cramps, too.
