Just stopping in to give an update of where I've been. Ill get to all the pms I've missed during my layover later today.
I disappeared, but for no other reason than to start building a life that I could actually be proud of. For months I've been working my arse off, 2-3 jobs at a time, very few breaks and just plowing through goals that I've set for myself. So far its paying off.
On the 23rd I flew in to Arizona to spend some time with someone that has became incredibly special to me. You Arizona folks, you live in the most beautiful place I've ever been. We spent some time in Phoenix and then spent the day in Sedona on Sunday. Sadly, I'm leaving here in about an hour, then a 3 1/2 layover in Texas, and then back to Georgia... but only for a little while.
Things are going great, I'm alive, I am better than I have ever been in my life, I'm growing and steadily moving forward.
I hope everyone is well. I have a lot of catching up to do around here.

Funny, I just started to post that Josh was enjoying himself...then saw his post and deleted what I had written...glad he is finally getting a break from his world in Ga. We haven't had much of a chance to visit with this pandemic, but now that I've had my vaccine and lived through it...hopefully he and I will be able to get together and have a smoke...look at his vacation pictures and just relax.
He is a great "brother" to have and I'm glad to see he has had the opportunity to get out west and have a good time. Wish it was me heading out west again...maybe this year wife and I and the pup (my daughter) will have the chance again.

I have 2 jobs that I need to finish up here, and some personal matters to tend to, but then, that's it. My goals have outgrown this place. If I had more time, I would have stopped in here before my trip and made some plans with y'all. But this trip was for comoletely different reasons... I'll have more to say about that later on. I find it interesting that you mention getting back for a dog but not a word of the children we head so much of in the past.
I would give Josh the benefit of the doubt. In that regard, usually the wife has primary custody, and I suspect they are ok. The dog I am sure is the primary custody of Josh. I have been blessed to be married to the same woman for almost 40 years...for her, I am sure that it has been hell though. Having had so many buddies and co-workers deal with the difficulties involved in marital separation, juggling custodial issues and looking and finding someone new to fill the gap of companionship is hard for me to fathom. |
