Run away, they never clean it! No wonder Jay says they are always broken. On that note Brad, on a local radio station an anonymous caller called in on “confession day” and told of practices in the hospitality business. She has worked in hotels for over 20 years, she said that unless there are obvious stains the comforters/ bedspreads never get washed. Kinda what I always figured. |

When Zesto and whirlley ice cream machines came out, man they were the best. My German wife has a thing about cleanliness, she found out the cleaning routine and doesn’t partake. McDonald workers shared what you shouldn’t eat and said machines were rarely cleaned. We are not big restaurant goers as my German wife doesn’t trust them. Me I’ve eaten lizards in the jungle, drew a line at baby monkey on a spit, looked like a baby. To each his own, too much rancor in the world now, burgers and spit don’t mix.

It is ironic that their ice cream machines break down so often, Ray Kroc who eventually took over the McDonald’s name was a traveling salesman selling shake machines to the McDonald brothers.
If you have never seen “The Founder”, I highly recommend it, Michael Keaton plays the role very well.

I've read that they're often not broken, but the cleaning process is such a pain, it's easier for a minimum wage guy to say it's broken.
I've also read about a guy that hacked one - press these sixteen characters in a row on it's little screen, and you get into the self-maintenance mode McDonalds hides from it's franchises, so they can charge to fix it. The hack looked legit.
All I have to say about it is: Braums.
