They popped lots of fireworks last night. Hope everyone in the service is away from harm.

We were thinking about going into Jefferson for the festivities and fireworks, but there has been a steady stream of unmuffled Hardly Ablesons going by heading that way all morning, so it won't be fit for humans. Beautiful day here, worked in the yard all morning, pulled a bunch of stumps and mowed some of the areas I couldn't get to with the riding mower. Now making hot dogs, air fries and an apple cobbler.

Ya know what gets me? I bet out of ALL the population setting off fireworks tonight and yesterday and tomorrow until they burn every last one
not caring who they disturb at 1am or later, like little 9 year olds with a free pass at the candy store not even 10% think once about what the 4th of July really means and why fireworks are set off for it. It seems where I'm at every drunken fool can't even wait till the 4th nor knows when to stop setting off fireworks and I'm not talking little fountains. These guys blow all their money on the big stuff ans set it off at all hours of the night. And I say drunken because I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that no one sober would do such a thing. The 4th of July use to be a time for family and friends to get together at Bar-B Q's eat and set off a few fireworks celebrating the 4th and have a good time and then everyone went home at a respectable time. Not anymore, not here anyway. And God wants me to Love thy Neighbor, is this a test?

Ours was nearly a 3-day weekend dumpster fire with wifie's multiple ills. Nada for any celebration . Glad was better for the majority
