The pipe shop I work at has a BYOB lounge and I’ve seen a couple of flavored whisky’s sipped. The Cinnamon flavored sounded the worst. I get some crap for drinking Dewers so I don’t judge.  What's wrong with Dewers? |

So, after reading this thread, I recalled our thirty something, whiskey drinking son leaving a bottle of some flavored whiskey in our liquor cabinet. I’ve dragged it out and it is indeed, this peanut butter whiskey, Skrewball. I’ve a couple of fingers poured and am working up the nerve to give it a try. It sounds rather horrible, but given my favorite whisky is Laphroiag, I need not cast aspersions. I will report back.

I recently received a grocery ad with a terrible thing in it. Peanut butter flavored whiskey. Who on Earth would think that's a good idea?
The same people who made a butterscotch flavored moonshine. My daughter in law brought it back from somewhere. |

If you’re referring to Screwball whiskey from SD, don’t knock it unless you’ve tried it. I have and it’s freaking awesome! I've tried it. Gifting my share to you. First Grousemoor now Screwball… not doin great with you Pete. |

Well, I’m happy to report the libation in question is not whiskey, at least in any normal sense. I would class it more a cordial. It is thick and sweet and, I have to say, does taste of peanut butter. That said, I understand why my son left it behind; it wasn’t worth the transport home. I will not be drinking any more of it. Each to their own. I prefer the taste of asphalt and iodine.
