I thought I had posted last night, but didn't seem to hit reply button. Ended the evening with some Bengal Slices in a Savinelli 626 Saturnia. This morning I'm enjoying some Gentleman Caller in a MM Pride cob with experimental red/black stain.

I'm down in the cave, about 65 degrees down here. Seemed appropriate. Still 82 with 76% humidity outside - yuck. I went out to my insulated shop and the AC wasn't keeping up. 85 inside.

Hi, everyone. Started the day with Haunted Bookshop in the Wednesday cob and coffee on the front porch. Moved to the backyard to do some light work. About halfway through my second bowl of HB. Haven't decided what's next.

Hang in there Gypo Are the messages all the company trying to get you to pull extra shifts? Lots of other guys calling off? Rustica Flake this morning, in the modified Shire Cobbit again. I think I'm going to make more of these. Other runs I have not worked in 15+ years so I am no longer qualified on those territories but that does not keep them from thier automated call system. Had a nice bowl of HH Burley Flake this morning just yarded train waiting to take the locomotives to the fuel rack then we are done for the day. Glad you all put up with my complaining!

I've had plenty of nightmare jobs, forced overtime, 106 hour weeks on my feet, shrimping, hod carrying, land clearing and more. But your in a special situation. Used to be that working for the railroad was almost like a government job. Unions, great pensions, steady work, etc. It doesn't seem like you have much of a career ahead of you with them. No time like the present to change careers.

Had some Haunted Bookshop in the Wednesday cob on the way home from visiting Dad. Just as I got home, the storm hit. High winds left us with only partial power. Fridge/freezers and sump pump running on generator. After we got things under control, found a beer and my pipe. Sitting on front porch. Haunted Bookshop. That was fun.
