Peretti D-7485 in a Savinelli Oscar rusticated 310 KS. I have no experience with Peretti tobacco. What would recommend to a Burley-Virginia kinda guy? Like Watch City (and Wilke and Boswell), Peretti's does good work, from what I've tried. Cuban Mixture is Burley-based, but has some of everything. They don't call it an aromatic, but Tobacco Reviews does, claiming there's some kind of mint flavor added. I don't taste it, myself. I've seen people say it's basically the old Walnut blend, but I never had that, so I couldn't say. No Name is an aromatic Burley, but also good.

Holy crap! Yes, today is Friday the 13! It’s currently 0440hrs and temperature finally dropped to 68F. By mid morning we’re expecting more unprecedented heatwave as we’ll be topping out in the high 90s. As a result, getting an earlier start to my day with Bengal Slices and Bald Headed Teacher to keep me company whilst at the office. 😁⛳️🏌️♂️

Peretti D-7485 in a Savinelli Oscar rusticated 310 KS. I have no experience with Peretti tobacco. What would recommend to a Burley-Virginia kinda guy? I'm just getting started with Peretti, and have only tried their D-7485 and Tashkent, so can't speak too much to their blends. I do enjoy their D-7485 quite a bit. I'm not the best at descriptions, but to me it is a nice mild blend with a touch of floral and spice notes that is reminiscent of a nice black tea. They list it as an English blend, but most online reviews list it as a burley forward traditional American blend with complementary Virginia and Latakia components. Taskent is also mild, but more toward the floral and spice category. It lists no burley or Virginias.
I'm leaning more into burely blends lately, so my next order will be along that route. Right now, based on reviews, 333 and Somerset slices are on the list.

Friday the 13th and you know what that means, it's the North American Society of Pipe Collectors show this evening in Columbus, OH! I'm smoking 2016 GH & Co. Kendal Kentucky mixed with a fat pinch of C&D Briar Fox in an MM Great Dane egg bent. I'm loading up piping supplies to get ready to drive to Columbus in a few hours. Hope to see some regulars and meet some new faces there. Haven't heard anyone this year mention they're going, so maybe I'll show up with no one there and all the tins to myself!

Nothing like a good pipe show; I haven't missed the Richmond show in a long time, but I think I'll pass this year, as parking sounds like more than I want to deal with...last year our handicap sticker put us right at the door, this year, I hear even that might be a problem. If you spend enough money to make eye contact with the better half uncomfortable ,you've done a good job!
