Pretty nice, Ron! Much more functional than it was originally made for. We had a custom wall China cabinet made to match the kitchen cabinets. We have used the inherited China once.. beautiful dishes, but nobody wants responsibility for chipping or droppping them. We have boxes of china that we never use. Platinum rimmed from the wife's hope chest and a bunch of bright pottery we got when we first got married. We're thinking about renting a booth at the local antique store. We have been using Polish pottery for the last 20 years.

No, they are simply pure white with an offset platinum rim. Very common with the door to door salesmen in the late 60s.

Back in the day...people actually used stuff like this...the gold set is 22 ct. and dipped so that they are all gold plated. The silver was sterling and we sold it off for weight as we would never use stuff like this.

[img style="max-width:100%;" alt="" src="https://i.imgur.com/CFjdZaFl .jpg"] We have a set of sterling silver that was her mom's. We will probably sell it if we ever need the money. It doesn't take up as much room as the china. People just don't want this stuff anymore. When I was a kid we had mismatched plates from Japan (before Japan made anything good), and a set of Melamine that my father got her that we never used. TThatwas our good china. By the time I inherited it we were using microwaves so it wasn't any good. I guess it was envy of the antebellum lifestyle that people wanted things that their parents longed for. Generations of traditions.

“ We're thinking about renting a booth at the local antique store.”
If you are talking about a lot of stuff, it might make sense. If you are talking about the China only, you would be better off cutting a deal with someone else that already has a booth.
My wife sees nice China sets at Goodwill on a regular basis.

We looked at a pair of new ones in Houston several years ago, but I think it was $5k. In hindsight we should have bought them.

We have Stickley Furniture and my Morris Chair and matching foot stool is my favorite pipe accessory. The wide wood arms are like having two extra side tables. It's the one thing I miss when I'm away in AZ but I upgraded my chair game there with a large Stressless Recliner/Ottoman. It's definitely not the heirloom quality of Stickley but it an upgrade from the Ashley chair that came with the house. It's not my dream Dunhill like 366 day pipe chest but I got a 10 drawer 200 count Cristiano pipe chest last year from a buddy who was downsizing. It was fun to get some of the collection out of pipe boxes and seen together for the first time in years!

Millenials that I know aren't interested in china. Or any formal dining ware, for that matter. We have china sets, coffee/tea sets that will ultimately become part of a landfill.

You need more pipes. I have another 150. I just can't locate them at the moment.

It looks good Darktater. for months, if not the last year my office area has been a disaster zone, having a recent water leak from the attic compounded the mess. Anyway, today I got half of the office cleaned up, after the repair guys can tackle the work, the other part with the bookcases should be fixed. My tobacco cabinets, pipe cleaning/ restoration/ overflow tobaccos are in the shelves by the chair. Still a mess up against the window, I need to get a narrow cabinet and get rid of the bins. I have a pipe rack that looks similar to yours on the floor. Says Dunhill on the bottom.

Nice organizations. I found a neat little six-drawer cabinet at OfficeMax that has really helped me orgnanize all the stuff I keep handy at Command Central (my dinette table). Only about $55 and REAL wood. Nice wood, too. Took a bit to get it together but pretty straight forward. The drawers inside are 12.5”Lx 10Wx3.25”H. It’s on rollers. How do you stop the pipes from falling out?

I suppose I could adapt this, one of the few Victorian pieces I kept after the move. I won’t b/c I couldn’t fill it with pipe stuff and it’s already full of books, maps, cameras, batteries, ready ammo, etc. (I’d also like to know how to make verticals show as verticals so wise-acres won’t make gravity-based cracks.)

Looks good darktater. I'll throw mine out there as well, as I'm finally starting to get things organized and in one location.
