With the advent of baby #02 on the way discussions have begun in my household on baby names. We do not know the sex of the baby yet, so we are discussing both boy and girl names. My wife is adamant about two names:
Boy - Buster Girl - Suellen
What are your honest feelings on these names?
my top choices are: Boy - Mycroft Girl - Fiona
Let me know your thoughts, or if you have any particularly striking names.

I hate your wife's choices. Buster is OK for a nickname and Sueellen might work in Kansas but I doubt. Sounds like a way to make her tough. Why not call the boy Sue?

Fiona isn't awful, but I was a big fan of Burn Notice. Mycroft is a little pretentious and sure to be as bad as Sue.

My wife isnt a big enough Johnny Cash fan. Mycroft is definitely pretentious. Honestly I may have chosen it just to push back against Suellen a bit more lol. She really likes that name and I think it sucks.

I always liked the name "Tanya" on certain lively girls. "MayBelle" is another one which brings tear to my eye. "Eleanor" is favorite after the old Queen of the Aquitaine. "Gudrun", "Ingrid" both bring happy memories
Boy's names should have some gravity to them. "Hamilton", "Burdock", "Wolfgang", "Clive", "Duncan", "Malcolm", "Eustache", "Houston",

I'm just gonna throw this out there, since my mind is some what broken, but if you guys go with Buster Clem, he's gonna get called Buster Clam, a lot. School kids suck like that.

Ahab, or in case of a girl...Jezebel would be a bad choice.
Judas would be bad.

I did two years for the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program as the computer guy. We saw some names.
There were two little boys named Einstein and Spanky. One fellow was called Ifeanyichukwu. But the best name was Asswad.
Don't call him Asswad.

One thing to note is how names are pronounced in other areas (in case you might move).
I heard of a guy called Connor Rea (pronounced RAY in Ireland). He moved to Scotland where Rea is pronounced REE-AH, and everyone called him Gonorrhoea.

We don't even know if the kid ever got the bike. Some kids are so surrounded by awful people that they don't have a chance.
