If it's on CBS it's got to be fiction. Just curious, what do you consider reliable services? Your best bet is to peruse several different outlets and do deep research on line to confirm all informations provided by the newsies. There is no certainty in the media anymore because there are no repercussions a lot like for the popo's. When you can hide behind flimsy marginal laws and standards it might as well be the wild West.

Kind of the way I feel about it, there are too many so called news organizations that have abandoned any sense of honesty in reporting. Especially in the television medium, when some sort of story is the news of the day, you can find online examples where a collage of sorts made up of distinctive phrases uttered that in no way could be coincidental. It is a pretty incestuous circle of people in the beltway that share the same talking points, and philosophical worldview to promote.

Until Van Damme does the splits on a couple of these, I don't believe the hype.

That “most comfortable truck ever” by Tesla came to late in my career, the 1970’s trucks that I cut my teeth on were bucking Broncos compared to the normal truck now. Too bad that the future will have no riders in the comfortable trucks… gotta keep the ‘puter comfortable and cool. The 1970- 1980, even 1980 trucks typically had crappy A/C, but gotta keep the puter cool and free from jarring experiences.

You are correct on keeping computers cool they get hot and shut our locomotives down. They don't care much about the crew just that darn computer.

I've heard that even the autonomous trucks will have a driver for when they hit the side streets. Read a book and smoke a pipe.

There is no getting around it. thebriarpatchforum.com/thread/9537/future-long-haul-trucking?page=1&scrollTo=372962I have had 8 foot tall pallets of Oxy-Contin to a company scheduled before auto parts distributor stop that said I could not be on their dock when unloading their clutches. "like hell you say, you aren't getting your clutches today" I think I said it earlier in the thread Ron, but at least for the time being, autonomous driving might make sense for the long haul, not so much for the local delivery. It certainly would not work in my current position as I deliver to people on dialysis on residential deliveries.

What's interesting Is I was watching a YouTube vid of a cop pulling over a driverless vehicle for running a stop sign... There was a guy using the " summon" feature of the car... The cop was unable to issue a ticket because no one was driving the vehicle and the person who "summoned " the vehicle was not in control of it.
