Dropped my Pete House pipe and “modified it.” Evidently hit just right. It is now very distinctive. I’d know it anywhere!

And I put a ding on my Chestnut Lovat 4111 when I inadvertently dropped it. Welcome to the broken pipes clubs.

I have several estate Petes that were dented when I got them. If they are really bad it is easy to remove them and work out the major dents.

I don't see the need either - like has already been stated, the pipe now has character.

Heat to loosen the gunk holding the band on then some delicate tapping with small instruments to reshape from the inside out.

It probably matches the dents you have acquired on the highway of life.

I like that the dent is directly above the engraving/stamping. The pipe now has a story.
