There is always a lot of talk about how X Or Y blend is better with age. I have found a few blends that I think better when fresh.
What say ye?
Not asking about aromatics, I think the answer is obvious in that regard.

I've never had the chance to compare. I haven't had tobacco long enough to age, and what I do have I only have one of so I don't have a control...and the big kicker is that since I can't really taste anything but smoke, I'm not sure I'd be able to detect any change if there was any.
So in response - all my blends MIGHT taste great fresh, but they might not.

I wouldn't know either. I had some aged Orlik Golden Sliced before, but sure of the difference. I do have a lot of PS Luxury Navy Flake now so maybe I'll eventually be able to tell.

For me, I find that most Latakia heavy blends don't age well, and lose some of their flavor. Otherwise I like a lot of tobaccos that have some age on them, mostly blends heavy with Virginias. I haven't bought any aged tobaccos on purpose though, just too much money usually.

I also prefer my latakia blends fresh as well as all aros.

I age all my blends before I smoke them, with the exception of pouch tobacco.

Don't really care for Va., VaPers all that much. Lats are good occasionally, aros are my thing. All my tobacco is aged as I bought most of it between 2013-2014. So I'll use the Va. and VaPers for trade down the road...along with my McClellands blends, Vas. With age on them the Va. and VaPers are better for me as they have mellowed enough not to burn my mouth.

Stonehaven for me is better fresh than with age. Seems strange to me but that is what I have found my preference to be.

Newly opened tin of Bengal Slices Single Barrel is excellent! I find that Bengal Slices looses flavor as it ages.

I havent been smoking long enough to compare the 2 on many blends. But Comoys no 7 and Uhle's 00 are great when fresh. I prefer most Lats fresh as well.

I opened some aged Peterson’s University Flake, I think it was better when fresh. Fresh, it had a distinctive taste that aged isn’t really delivering on.
