Yes, you read well, for the Peterson fans out there! They look like the Dracula series but they are also system pipes, with P'Lips and acrylic stems. Seen at SPC. Will you be able to resist?

They’re a fun and affordable collectible! We got two of them into the shop last week and they sold almost immediately for the retail price!

I like them. I have always been interested in the Dracula series, but prefer an army mount. These pretty much fit the bill. I only have one other pipe with p-lip, a mid 40's Shamrock Canadian, and haven't really formed an opinion on them.
I ordered a 312 shape in the series, along with an 8oz tin of Haunted Bookshop. We'll see how it goes when it comes in.

Don’t like the systems. They are not for me but I do like the Dracula series.

Not that I would have bought one, but something more like an orange stain complemented by a green stem would have been a bit more in the Halloween spirit.

I quite like these pipes. They are significantly different for me that I would be interested in buying one - if I could justify it.

This series is basically, as mentioned in the article, System Standard pipes disgused as Dracula for Halloween.

I'll start a riot!!! Personally I think the Peterson "dry system" is a joke. Any tobacco that is so wet that it needs to drip down into a well is just plain wrong. Dry out the tobacco. I feel the "dry system" is just a marketing gimmick. Ok, bring on the hate mail.

I think absolute statements are particularly ill suited for something as subjective as pipes & pipe smoking. One man's trash is another man's treasure.
Just like 'aromatics are horrible' or 'Balkan blends taste like burning tires', the "dry system" is great for those who like it, and not so much for those who don't.
Don't like Peterson's with the "dry system" don't buy them Don't like aromatics, don't smoke them - same for balkans
Life is short, smoke what you like
YMMV

The Peterson System works very well and gives better smokes than most non-system pipes from any maker. They fact that they have been making them for 150 years while so many others are out of business. They just require a bit more effort to clean, but they do provide a superior smoke. The regular System pipes only give a slight improvement but the Deluxe System pipes are noticeably better.

The Halloween pipe seems to be sold out all over. Cup o' Joe's has one left at a good price. I have at least a dozen Petes or I would like one.

I feel the "dry system" is just a marketing gimmick. Ok, bring on the hate mail. I think that the system pipes actually create more wetness in the well of that system than that same tobacco produces say in a classic billiard made by Peterson. But, the end result is that the system pipe delivers a dry smoke even if after the smoke you dump out the septic tank.

Just thought I would throw a pic of my 312 into the mix. I love this pipe. Great smoker and lots of swirl in the stem. I would love to see Peterson come out with a similar pipe with a green or purple stem:
