Drucquer & Sons Inns of Court in an old Charatan. On my first mug of coffee..... Inns of Court is an interesting one. Right on the edge of too rich/complex for me, but I like it.

C&D John Marr in the Sunday cob. Interesting blend. Definitely like the interplay between the Virginia, burley, Cav, oriental and Perique. Not so sure about the bourbon and vanilla topping, yet. But, it's not so heavily flavored that you lose the tobacco. Not bad, but may not be an everyday blend for me.

C&D Epiphany in the Sunday cob. Of the samples I bought (John Marr, Sutliff RR Match, and Epiphany), I like this one the best.

C&D Epiphany in the Sunday cob. Of the samples I bought (John Marr, Sutliff RR Match, and Epiphany), I like this one the best. I thought you would.
I smoked GH& Co. Mixture #25 for breakfast this morning in an MM Mark Twain. Love that mild English mixture.
Now smoking GH & co. Best Brown Flake #2 in a 60's BBB Own Make blasted zulu. Been feeling like busting out some cigars.

I was thinking cigar, myself. Got another 45 minutes to keep an eye on the smoker outside. Nows my opportunity.

October 17th. Left this morning at 5am to ride 45 minutes in 43 degree temps. That is not for the faint of heart or thiso without proper gear. Even with my grip heaters on high my old hands were chilled. But thankfully I had all my gear properly configured and arrived to the marshalling location for a cup of coffee and a very short bowl of the Q1/scraps mix. that tin is getting pretty odd with all the bits collected but it is a good bowl filler. about two and a half hours later we had a decent breakfast at simis cafe in troy mo. Eggs were good and the waitress a pleasant courier of coffee. Home brought out some blockade runner in the big peterson ebony 107 spigot. I am noticing a nice sweet nutty tone to the first third of a bowl now that the blend has been resting. Then later I put two coins of escudo in the peterson x105 newgrange spigot. That blend as well has improved with time in the mason jar. Not any flavor profile change such as the BR did but an improved burn that allows the full flavor profile to appear. My big mistakes with escudo and several others especially plugs is loading too tightly and not waiting long enough for the blend to "decant" properly in a jar. Now I seem more capable I am getting much improved bowls. On deck for later looks to be some pegasus in the peterson XL13 kinsale bulldog. That should make a nice nightcap! hope all are well and enjoying a favorite bowl at the time of reading this post!

ok, I didn't care too much for Pegasus when I first got it and loaded up a cob (which surprised me). A little bit of time, and likely more importantly a larger bowl, and it is a completely different animal. Very nice smoke, I'll be ordering more in the future.

Inaugurated the new S. Eltang with a bowl of CH, followed by Red Rapparee. Both smoked wonderfully, and the pipe is a perfect clench.
This may be destined to become my favorite pipe.

Peter Stokkebye luxury bullseye flake from 2014, in a Charles Maas meerschaum hallmarked to 1885...still a great smoker, but I got it broken in. That LBF looks stupid good. I'm going to have to put some up and forget about for about 7 years it seems.

Another beautiful day in Pinehurst. High of 65 , teed em up this afternoon and consumed several Dilema cigars.
This evening I started out with a bowl of EMP, concurrently I rubbed out a couple of flakes of Stoney.
The EMP's all smoked up and just lit the Stoney. Sippin Buffalo Trace.
Cheers

ok, 1 more bowl of Blackpoint. Everytime I smoke this I'm disappointed - when I get to the end of the bowl. I didn't order nearly enough of this, going to have to prioritize it for smoking & cellaring.
