Hey sparks… the Captcha is getting very very annoying. Pretty much every time I visit on my phone, multiple times a day, I have to go through the Captcha. Picking from that grid of nine pics on a phone screen with old eyes is quite hard. Now today, almost every time I’ve visited from my iPad, I’ve had to do the Captcha. If I had to do it once a month, that would be fine, but multiple times in a day has gotten annoying and discouraging enough that I’m commenting on it. |

That’s weird, I have never had to do it once… I always use my personal phone.

Haven't had to do it here either. Strange. But I will say that I LOATHE Captcha whenever I have to encounter it. There should be criminal penalties connected with its evil creation.

Unfortunately, captcha only exists because there are depraved anarchists on the information superhighway. There is a reason railroads have a system in place to prevent people from committing derailments. |

I don't think that I have ever had to use it for this forum. Maybe it's your phone or browser? I am using Firefox.

I use Safari on computer and iOS on phone and iPad and I've never had to use captcha. Maybe once a long time ago, but I've forgotten.

I use Safari on my phone, Firefox on home computers and never had the captcha pop up.
Firewall issues possibly?

I'll see if there is any way to shut it off, but I think it generally only happens on the initial login. Are you logging out every time you use the site, or as others have said if you are using a VPN, or going to the site in a private window, it will likely prompt.
It's essentially going to be the site saying "I have never seen you before". So even clearing history and cookies on a regular basis could be the cause.

I spent the first 15 years of my career testing and debugging prototype digital electronics and writing and debugging low level systems and embedded software. |
